Nolan Smith averaged 11 snaps a game last season with the Eagles as he was behind Haason Reddick, Josh Sweat, Derek Barnett, and Brandon Graham. The hierarchy has changed quite a bit. Once he is rotated in with 400+ snaps, the production will follow. @Eagles

I don't get the concept of the Eagles having a "luxury pick" with the Saints pick at 10, meaning you can take a player you regularly wouldn't (like RB). A pick is a pick. You make the best possible decision and use same draft philosophy with it.

Well, well, the still-mid-QB-to-some Jalen Hurts has a +6.8 completion percentage over expected (CPOE) this season, 2nd behind Josh Allen. This is Hurts' best CPOE and if the season ended today, would be the highest CPOE since Aaron Rodgers in 2020 (and Allen this season)

In the 1st half, Jordan Davis was double teamed on half of his snaps (below he is triple teamed). Hope to see a lot of this year. Remember, Hargrave had one of the highest rates of double-teaming last year.

Shane is 100% correct. It's great Howie doesn't lock himself into depending on a rookie, but the Eagles consistently have one of lowest rookie play rates in the league. When we look at draft value, it's why Philly's drafts never look as good as people thinks they are.

Last season the #Eagles rookies played the lowest combined snap counts in the NFL at 877. The average was 2,812. This year the Eagles had 2 1st round draft picks and 4 picks in the top 70 and they still only played a combined 1,775 snaps. That is an uptick from last year but

Took a look at nose tackles given the rise of the Fangio/Staley defenses - nose tackles are obviously important to the scheme and this is showing up in free agency and the draft. And some deeper data on Jordan Davis. @Eagles

@tomstakes I hate stats like this because itt isn't predictive or relevant. Who Burrow or Hurts is has nothing to do with past QBs. And this is another where if you throw out Brady, everybody looks bad.

@Bleeding_Greeen I'm with you. Love him, but there's no value not being on the field. The Eagles need to have a solid slot plan outside of him next year which, at that point, you either cut him and save the money or have him renegotiate. I wouldn't pay him the $7m he's due in 2024.

@Anthony60957284 @JTuc9 @TheHonestNFL Look at sack rate vs sacks. He has a better sack rate than anybody except Will McDonald and Foskey. And really pressure rate is more meaningful anyway (which he is really great at) Nolan is highly productive in this class and past several.

Lot of discussion on Nolan Smith and production. First, pressure is more important than sacks. But if you want to look at sack rates, he is one of the best in this class. Compare his run stop, sack, and pressure rates to the top EDGEs this year and since 2020.

Just a quick updated chart to show how good punting has been especially the last two years. Distance and hangtime have historically been inverse (more hangtime=less distance) but the last two seasons, punters are resetting the relationship, massive distances with no sacrifice

I absolutely love Slay and still think it is likely he is back. But couple of points: - Love that Howie is not being over-loyal like 2018 when we extended older prospects for the "new normal" - Howie won't leave secondary exposed - if Slay gets traded, somebody else will come in

I have no issue with what CJGJ said last year and his apology yesterday makes me like him more. The business is tough, these guys need to try to get what they can, and as a fanbase we are a-holes (lovable ones, but a-holes at times) I just hope he can stay on the field.
