Bro...Sports are wild. I am tearing up about a dude that I have never personally met, retiring from playing a sport...The connections are real and it is truly a wild experience - especially in Philly
@79illwill
Jordan Love is literally on pace for 4,000 yds and not a single pass catcher has more than 500 yds yet this season. None will likely eclipse 1,000.
Glad to hear you agree he is Tom Brady or Dan Marino.
Am I the only one that kind of loves the fumble through the end zone rule? You should 100% be punished for not protecting the ball in the most crucial area of the field.
Some of y’all never lived through the 2008 Eagles and it shows.
Guess what? They started 2-2. Also got their doors blown off in BAL so bad that they benched McNabb.
Guess what else? They made the NFCCG.
Let’s pump the breaks and see this team at full strength after a bye
My man won with JJAW, Reagor, Fulgham and a broken Alshon in 2020, and then won without Lane Johnson, Mekhi Becton, AJ Brown and Smitty in a comeback win just LAST WEEK…what are we doing here?!?
“I think about the amount of games that Donovan McNabb won with lack of talent around him except Brian Westbrook and Chad Lewis. I think about the games that Carson Wentz won with zero talent around him other than Zach Ertz to get to the playoffs.
I am asking for one game – one
I’m sorry, but how can you see videos like this and not want to be part of this organization? They legitimately love their guys from day 1 until the end. You can feel that passion from the Top to the bottom. Such a classy org
Eagles fans: "We have a huge void at LB, aside from Dean"
*Devin White, who averages 130 tck, 10 TFLs, 6 sacks, 4 PDs, 1 FF, 2 FR over the last 3 yrs requests trade*
Eagles fans: "hE hAd A bAd YeAr ThO...hE's A bUsT"
Give me that horse back riding sumbitch next to Dean
We need to talk about how well
@Haason7Reddick
played last night…dude was relentless. You could tell he wanted that game.
4 tackles, 1 sack, 1 TFL, 3 QB hits, multiple hurries/pressures.
Dude is as disruptive as they come
Explain to me how something like this is Jalen’s fault?
What are his options against this 7 man blitz? What are his hot reads? Where are the inbreaking routes? Throw a RB or TE screen for god sakes. A slant route scores here, unless the ref tackles him…this is coaching/scheme
Counter point: Eagles should UNRETIRE EVERY number and just have a Ring of Honor in recognition of their achievements. We have ~15% of the available numbers retired officially/unofficially. That’s absurd and frankly silly. Only one that maybe should remain retired is 99 for JB
UDFA WR Joe Ngata is wearing No. 86
He probably won’t make the team and it’s only training camp, but the Eagles need to retire that number.
Zach Ertz deserves that.
OK, so hear me out...
Mekhi Becton is a FA, likely to get good money. But what if the Jets let him walk?
At just 24 yrs old, he would be the perfect student for Stoutland University.
He is a mammoth at 6'7" 363 and could be the eventual replacement for Lane.
Looks like Jalen has switched to the Riddell Axiom with an AXIOM-2B-SW facemask w/ clear visor.
He used the Speedflex Diamond Precision with a SF-2BD-SW facemask previously
Waiting for a clearer pic and will update
IF the Eagles move on from Sirianni after the season, I would 1,000% be down with a Ben Johnson/Robert Saleh pairing to be our HC/OC and DC respectively.
Nate Wiggins is the Devonta Smith of this year’s draft…an absolute stud that everyone will overthink bc of concerns over his frame.
He would be an instant lockdown corner and long term replacement for Slay.
Go get him, Howie
Simmons (S - 30) and Baker (ILB - 27) make so much sense for the
#Eagles
- Experienced in Fangio Scheme in DEN and MIA
- Would be on-field coaches
- Vets in areas of need
- Would not count against Comp Pick formula
- Would provide needed vet leadership
Hey
@Eagles
hear me out:
Unretire all of our numbers and have a “Ring of Honor” to recognize those who made our organization proud.
Only give certain numbers to players who exemplify what it means to be an Eagle, ie: 20, 92, etc.
There are so many fun numbers going to waste
The
#Giants
are unretiring No. 1 — the first professional football number ever retired -- to give to rookie WR Malik Nabers. The family of Ray Flaherty gave permission.
Nobody:
Giants Fans:
"Sirrianni was eating pizza with his coaches at the Novacare complex on their bye week while real time scouting our team...Dude doesn't respect us and is obviously overlooking us"
B4 everyone freaks out about what this means for Reddick: This is a restructure. Not an extension. This is a cap saving measure ($2.5M) and Sweat is still a FA after this season. Extending Reddick on, say 2 yrs, saves the org around $11.8M this season and would give an elite rush
#Eagles
pass-rusher Josh Sweat is staying in Philly, sources tell me and
@TomPelissero
. He’s agreed to terms on a restructured contract, despite interest elsewhere for what likely would have been a pay increase. Philly keeps a good one home.
Shaq Leonard, after he finished with team-high 7 tackles and his first sack since 2020:
“They wrote me off, talked down on my name. I’m here to prove it, prove I can still play, prove I can still make plays.”
Ugh, here I am finding some optimism...BUT, with Maddox apparently getting his 21 day window opened this week, I kind of dig the idea of a Slay/Ringo/Maddox trio...
Apparently, the average fan doesn't give a flying f*ck about depth or ST, and expects everyone to be a starter...
- Jurgens is the crown jewel here
- Evans is a solid S3/4/ST contributor
- Roby is much needed slot depth/ST
- Quez is arguably the best WR4/5 in the league
Kellen Moore's offense was deadly when they had a healthy Zeke. I'd like to see Audric Estime come in to fill that role. Don't let his 5'11" 227 lb frame fool you. He's a fast, quick and violent runner.
Wtf is everyone freaking out bc we signed Greedy Williams?!? No, this doesn’t mean we’re not signing CJ. No, this does not mean Maddox is moving to S. He’s a high upside 25 yo CB with starting experience. Stop overthinking this.
I have a new favorite cheesesteak, outside of Philly: Gazzo’s Steaks in Pottstown.
This was the Sanatoga:
- 100% ribeye
- Smoked Cooper
- Fried onions
- Seeded roll
- Optional Long Hots
Amazing 🤩
Same thing, but with Jeremy Chinn:
25 yrs old, FA in 2024, CAR would save almost $3m in cap pre 6/1, and the Eagles almost selected Chinn in 2020, but ultimately decided to take Hurts
Howie should call Tampa Bay and see if Antoine Winfield Jr. is available.
He's 24 years old and is set to hit free agency next offseason. The Bucs are currently around 600K over the cap.
One player to look out for at the deadline, is Trey Hendrickson
- 29 yrs old (turns 30 in Dec)
- 2 yrs left on his deal (Howie Special)
- Bengals save $12m/$16m next 2 yrs
- Asked for trade in the offseason
- 3 sacks, 15 pressures, 8 stops
- 67.3 RDEF, 73.6 PRUSH grades per PFF
Some conclusions from last night, IMO:
- Keegan is G3/4
- McCollum is S4 (with Syd out)
- Dean is improving
- P. Johnson may be MIP (Most Improved)
- F. Johnson/Kinnard have earned spots
- Mustipher deserves a spot over MT
- Jenkins has earned consideration for TE3
- McKee QB2
If there is a team uniquely equipped to bring on Lewis Cine, I feel like it is the Philadelphia Eagles. Cine has played with 5 other contributing members of the team while at UGA:
Dean, Ringo, Carter, Davis and Smith
Bring him in and see what we can get out of him
"I didn't believe, but I checked it and they do have interest in Saquon Barkley...I think they're trying to work on something that would not be fully guaranteed. He's not going to get—a ton."
"I think they're looking for a RB that can also catch the football."

@howardeskin
A few things here:
- Syd looks like he’s on schedule
- KG looks like he’s been working hard this offseason
- Benton makes Jurgens and Carter look like normal people lol
@KingRJ22
They still hung up 33 and should have had more. We need to be happier that we 1) won and 2) improved on offense.
That INT was a fluke. Goedert slipped on a timing route. Different game without that and the fumble on the KO. Both flukes.
Idk. Maybe Hurts is rubbing off on me, but while I’m excited that the Eagles are in the Super Bowl, I haven’t really celebrated, other than at the stadium in real time. It’s a terrific milestone for this young team, but the goal is not complete. One more. Bring it home.
- Ur stuck w Slay
- JB Post 6/1 is $4.3m in dead cap, but he blows
- Byard save $13m by cutting, but could restructure and save $9.2, but should be upgraded
- Maddox can't stay healthy. Cut post 6/1 and save $7.1m
As of now, starters are Slay + Ringo/Rodgers outside, need slot
Some thoughts on
#Eagles
secondary and who should return:
** I think Slay should return. He had a pretty good year considering all the changes around him. I would keep him over losing $24m in cap space by trading/cutting him. He can still be CB1
** Bradberry costs you $10m in
If I were the Eagles, I'd take a look at Mykal Walker, who is currently on the PIT PS.
- 6'3" 230
- Started for ATL last yr and has improved every yr
- 107 tck, 4 TFL, 1 sack, 2 INT, 6 PD in 12 GS in 22
- He's only 26 and could compete right away
@my_chappie
@RapSheet
Rebuild? lol. Sweat and Reddick both only have 1 yr left on their deals and they are looking to capitalize on value now instead of letting them walk for free.
We’ve seen 2 candidates so far - Caldwell and Rivera. Both of whom had significant experience coaching and developing LBs, specifically in Philadelphia. Perhaps this is foreshadowing to a change in prioritization of the LB position?
#Eagles
are set to interview former
#Jaguars
DC Mike Caldwell, per source. Philly looking for a new defensive coordinator.
Caldwell also will speak with the Raiders for a senior defensive staff position with DC flexibility should Patrick Graham get a head coaching job.
