No, sorry, we can't tell whether money buys or doesn't buy happiness. When you see correlations around .09, all one can say is NO USEABLE INFORMATION. The effect is visible and valid ONLY for between 1 and 4 persons out of 100.

New habit I've taken up is taking dark showers. Not pitch black—just no light on. The natural light from the windows is enough. There's something much more relaxing about a hot shower without a light in my face. Not sure if anyone else does this.

The mistake is to assume the reader does the deciding. Use Lindy / time as a filter, and only read books you would re-read. There are many other tricks & heuristics.

@nntaleb One of the few occasions where I will disagree with @nntaleb . Limiting one's reading ex-ante to "good books" requires that one has already decided what is a good book. How does one know? Surely it is better to be generally sceptical but read a lot of different books.
