I just attended an ACNA church and as I walk to my car the one main difference I noticed: incredibly young. There were at least 30 children, and the congregation was comprised of 20-30 year olds. Stark difference to my TEC experience

Do you ever say the prayer of St John Chrysostom during the daily office, while reciting alone, and say hmm, there’s only one of me. I always wonder, like, God listens and answers prayer for one person alone too right?

Saint Bartholomew’s in Manhattan. I was shocked to realize it was an Episcopalian church. Something seemed deeply eastern from a distance. I also saw a synagogue that looked like the kremlin that I thought for sure was ROCOR

I recall some TEC people really laughing it up and degrading the ACNA because they were considering getting rid of WO, yet I’m seeing that TEC is considering allowing polyamory? Glass houses, rocks.

I went to a Coptic service today, and it was really cool, but man three and a half hours? That’s a crazy liturgy. Good for them though if Christ is truly risen I guess one should spend a long time in service

Curious when my fellow daily office users do the Great Litany? I saw it somewhere that, traditionally, Anglicans did the Litany on Wednesday, Friday and Sundays, so I’m trying that.

In a group called orthodox Episcopalians, and discussing PCUSA being in communion with PECUSA, and it’s very funny to see AC’s comment things that aren’t acceptable with Presbys for Anglicans to accept, meanwhile, they are pushing things they’d be excommunicated for 200 years ago

Ya know, I thought, just for fun, let’s post this icon. Easily my favorite icon I own. I like the seemingly more “western” (its Russian) artwork, and I also like to imagine Jesus is teaching the kids the Lords Prayer, so when I say the Lord’s Prayer I look at it.

I made it to the Rite I service at Saint Mark’s Cathedral, and forgot to take pictures besides an icon in their basement My thoughts are Rite I is nice, not nearly as impactful emotionally as I’d maybe imagined. It was a Low Mass, so the lack of singing I think played part.
