Of all of the books I’ve read or partially read in the past year or so, these four have influenced my thinking the most.
(Finished the first two, still reading the last two.)

Raven is just being real, she told Demi to her face, I don’t see the problem?
Demi was bulimic and on drugs, of course she was unpleasant to be around, she has acknowledged this before.
@ycsm1n
Women have larger foreheads because it makes the jaw and lower face appear smaller, creating a more feminine aesthetic.
They’re masculinizing their faces, it’s a huge mistake.
@bizlet7
“Male beauty standards” are mostly status rituals for women to impress other women.
Men just want women to be thin, have long hair, smell nice, and be above average in facial attractiveness.
@sunnyright
No, because women are born into a biological lottery whereby we’re expected to risk our lives in order to gestate an infant. Hope this helps 💛
@KrownCityKing
A reality show where boomers have to survive trying to do things younger people have to do like
- Getting an apartment
- Paying for college
- Buying groceries
@21metgala
There is profound social pressure on women to remain thin while pregnant even though weight gain is better for the baby’s brain development.
Sick society.
@LoFiRepublican
male hormones ostensibly correlate to a range of undesirable behaviors ranging from punching holes in the wall to committing 90%+ of all rapes.
also, women vote more than men, so good luck accomplishing this 👍🏽
@aklingus
I adore Britta and consider myself a bit of a Britta.
She’s obnoxious, self-righteous, pushy, and misguided, but lovable because her outlook is based on hope.
whenever someone mentions “mutual abuse” (or anything that sounds like it) I think about the scene in BIG LITTLE LIES where nicole kidman is talking to her therapist and says “we were violent” when what she really means is “he hit me and i fought back”
it is super annoying when people demand that you be traumatized by something that simply did not traumatize you or that does not traumatize you anymore. it’s like they’re ideologically opposed to resilience.
One reason I suspect I'm different from other people, thus resulting in way weirder behaviors, is intense emotional resilience and/or low neuroticism. I seem to be significantly less affected by bad experiences than most other people, and less likely to process things as 'bad'.

@soapyhnnh
You people are insane, bitter, and miserable.
I’m not even a Swiftie and this pisses me off, stop bullying celebrities!
Just because someone is famous doesn’t mean you can bully them!
@ifiwerearoy
@Beyonce
Instead of calling Dolly Parton racist you could just admit that COWBOY CARTER was a flop.
It wasn’t even a country album.
I expected a full album of country songs similar to Daddy Lessons.
It was a huge cop-out.
@gaptoothliar
Fish and grits is not unusually unhealthy.
I think that black people are uneducated about the meaning of unhealthy.
Sugar, seed oils, and pesticides are unhealthy, not fish and grits.
@mediamavenkh
To put your kids’ faces on a designer bag?
You all are so materialistic.
What matters is that you read your kids a bedtime story and send them to a good school so they will be literate.
@chartdata
COWBOY CARTER was a huge disappointment.
I expected a true country album, with songs similar to Daddy Lessons.
RENAISSANCE was a true dance album, which is what made it so groundbreaking. Beyoncé departed completely from her typical sound.
Instead we got a cop-out.
@BillieSociety
I’ll be honest, I’m a fan of Finneas but only in the context of his work with Billie.
I would be extremely upset if she started working with another producer, his production is magic.
He will get his moment to shine later but right now Billie is the star.
@imthatguy4r
You do but we don’t have a victim complex about it.
Quiet people tend to be jealous of loud people, they’ll be the first to call you annoying or obnoxious and then expect people to feel sorry for them that they’re shy.
@itsKARY_
That clip of Tamera crying because people called her “white man’s wh*re,” and Tia’s sympathy is totally fake, like she wants to laugh at Tamera…
Tia thinks she’s superior for marrying a black man and then still ended up divorced.
@SheisaLeo
Why would being a person of color prevent you from dressing up as a mythical creature?
This thought has never crossed my mind.
Sounds like internalized racism.
@SurrogConcern
this is the one area where i think surrogacy may be permissible. they are family and there is hopefully no monetary exchange. it’s not “rent-a-womb.”
@SydSteyerhart
Yes I’ve been saying this.
I could never put into words what’s wrong with him, I thought I was judging his facial structure or his teeth.
But his smile doesn’t reach his eyes.
@Beloved_Ekasi
Y’all cheer for EVERY Tracee selfie, ONE selfie misses the mark and now suddenly she’s a loser and a hag, the internet is so fickle, this is literally mother.
@weirdassfishes
Marnie hate makes me feel like I’m losing my mind…
Marnie is clearly the best character.
Shosh is self-righteous and annoying.
Jessa is a sociopath.
Hannah is selfish in a good way (women are too selfless).
@cokenhenny
I wish someone had told me when I was younger that there is an extreme social taboo against not worshipping your parents, regardless of how your parents treated you.
If you see your parents as anything other than blameless it’s better to keep it to yourself.
@abelito_tercero
@roopertpumpkin
@evemmore
she hired him because NBC had a diversity program where hiring a black writer didn’t count against their budget. so yes she literally hired him because he’s black. she was just being honest and donald himself said he’s not mad at her.
