It’s actually baffling to me how a Pokémon can be immune to some of the most dominant moves in the metagame such as Heat Wave, Icy Wind, Bleakwind Storm & Hurricane, get an Atk boost on top for each of these as well as in Tailwind +have a great offensive typing.. and still suck.

All the recent major winners (Emilio,Hari,Alister,Wiegel,Pengy,Eric,..) have been playing their teams since almost the beginning of the format. Don’t push yourself too hard trying to break the meta with unfamiliar strats & Pokémon. Improve on what you like to use. Comfort is key.

I'm sad to share that I wasn't asked to cast Worlds 2022. It's especially painful since I skipped out on competing at a few Regionals to cast this year. It'll be the first Worlds in over a decade where I'm not a player or caster. Super painful way to end Sword/Shield, GG.😔

Just finished the Player‘s Cup Qualifier with a rating of +1800. Even though series 5 is by far my least favourite format of all the series we had so far, Lapras + Weezing made it surprisingly fun to play. See you all in November!

More Series 8 glitches! Calyrex's As One->Unnerve prevents Berries from being eaten. But what happens if an Unnerve Pokemon is KOed at the same time as the Berry would trigger on a KOed opponent? Damage calculation is already done, but the Berry activates at 0 HP remaining!

max def bold flutter mane is actually sick and what I've used as well at euic two things I liked that caught my opponents off-guard: Ice Spinner + Sucker from Sash Chien Pao does not KO (if Tera Fairy) so you also win the 1v1 in the endgame & you live Heavy Slams from Ting-Lu

Really heartbreaking Day 1, mentality and prep were ready to make a big run but things just didn’t work out in the end. My opponents simply played better. Either way I’m glad that I got to compete in Pokemon’s home country. Cheering for all my friends in Day 2 tomorrow!
