This is the third round of mass layoffs since I exited in the 1st round in 2021, where mgmt rebuked every effort of PWU in impact bargaining to plan ahead for it not to happen again. This is shameful.

We are working to confirm exactly who in our union is slated for layoffs, but it looks like they are specifically targeting elected union leaders and members of our bargaining team. @BenJealous told staff there would be a 10% staff reduction, just 1 year after the last layoff.

I was pretty appalled with the Sierra Club "proposals" I heard last night, trying to undo and take away many years of good faith agreement and policy including trying to eliminate the anti-discrimination Article from being contractually enforceable. Do better @BenJealous !
