Just had my NHS wheelchair service appointment. Went in with no hope because I know how rare it is to get powerchairs if you can walk even a little. It’s been approved. I’m getting a properly fitted NHS powerchair that does full recline and leg extension and meets my needs 😭

I've known homeless women too who had to just free bleed, ruining the few items of clothing they had, ending up with sores and matting and pain from the dried blood with no facilities to wash or clean themselves. There is no way in which providing this products for free is bad

Happy news - my PIP has been renewed at enhanced rate until 2027 😭😭😭😭 I didn’t even need to have an assessment meeting, they just used our documentation. I’m so relieved. 3+ years of not having to think about PIP is going to be so good for me.

Is anyone else feeling deeply hopeless about this election? Like sure ok Tories out, but labours policies have become almost identical. As a disabled person, I have no faith in them actually protecting me or making life better because they’ve done nothing to show they will.

Just got a text from my neighbour letting me know he'd left been to the shops and to check outside the door He got me a care package of all my favourite treats and even bought a nice reusable shopper for me too because he knows how sad I've been recently 🥺😍

@Nicole_Cliffe It's made me so emotional. I'm having such a hard time coming to terms with using my wheelchair and last year I was broken up with for being too disabled (and that was before I used a chair at all). It's so wonderful to be blessed with all these amazing stories of diverse love
