The news has been saying only 63% of primary schools offer football to girls in PE lessons. In my exp, boys and girls are taught PE together and I've never come across a school that doesn't teach football, so I'm intrigued by this figure? @Headteacherchat @HBattelley

@carrieprimary It's amazing who you can be on soc media. Now I'm not in teaching, 2 things I wish I'd given more time to is my own wellbeing & time with family/friends. The amount of Sundays I cut things short to get back & do school work...🙄 the hours of sleep I lost, the stress. Not worth it

This morning I told my mum I'd tweeted about her and @RetirementTales . She was partly rather mortified that she was on here, but also found it hilarious. She's 87 and in considerable pain after a nasty fall but we laughed til we actually cried! Thank you GnM! A wonderful tonic!

Sooooo pleased to say my Wave is drying well. After the stresses of creating the art, the drying process can be just as stressful in case it doesn't dry evenly (paint just a bit thick) or a pesky fly lands in it, despite being covered in nets #abstractpainting #seascape #Cornwall

@queenkarenclyne I understand the disappointment, but the world really wont stop spinning. I had no interest in A levels, barely scraped anything.8 yrs later decided I wanted to teach, needed A level Eng. Sailed thru cos I was motivated.Did degree, PGCE and MA. Far better student for being older.

Had a lovely time painting this weekend, although rather cold in my little studio. These are both about 35cmx25cm. I'll post better pics when they're dry - the light was on and hard not to get reflections while wet, but hopefully you get the idea.🌊 Colours more vivid in real😍

Not sure if many ppl realise but my art is not done with a brush. All the paint is put down wet as a liquid on the canvas & moved/manipulated using a variety of tools/techniques - hence #flowmotionart The consistency is crucial for it to flow correctly. @Gaiinz @hetaldraws

@dave_mcpartlin It's just so unfair and hard for all professionals connected with children. I know of a team of 7 social workers that was reduced to 2 due to sickness. There's no way they can pick up the workload of 5 others as well as their own.😟

@MrWithersAHT I used to mark the whole paper then swapped to marking a page at a time. The latter was a bit slower but doing 1 page at a time,I got a far better grip on what the issues and misconception for each Q were.

@ScottPughsley Except to 'cook from scratch' assumes you can afford all the 'bits' that make it taste nice...seasoning, spices, stock cubes, herbs etc.
