I’ve got to say it...as a school we rely on the support of our parents...therefore as a headteacher you should expect your staff to attend their children’s nativities, sports day, etc, and their workload should be such that they can read to their children every night. #ShineOn !

There's debate over @NAHTnews stance on its members handing in their Ofsted badges. In 2022, 800 of just over 1000 inspectors were serving heads. Imagine if you all temporarily handed in your badges until reform happened. JUST this could change everything. Enough is Enough.

Holidays were always visiting his family in America-always using the money I had earned-he controlled everything. The only time we were able to visit my family in the States was when they paid for it-4 times in 20 years Haven’t seen my dad in 12 years-That’s all going to change!

So many things wrong - Ofsted creates a vicious cycle-DfE testing narrows the curriculum, Ofsted narrows what leaders prioritise in schools. It creates a system where everyone is put under constant pressure. Our children & staff must come first. At the moment, they do not.

The education system is collapsing. It's time for all of us to re-look at everything. Now is the time to reform and revolutionise education. How many times must we keep saying this? This can not go on - the system is losing people every day because of this.

Heads warn schools will soon be “unsafe” as having to cut crucial staff to deal with deficit. One head told me: “You have to do it to make your budget work, but what about the impact on the children? We keep asking ‘can the children cope?’” Sad stories.

Just to clarify... I’ve had lots of people asking if I’m ok...some even referring to a ‘break down’. I have honestly NEVER been better! I see life from a whole new & clear perspective. I can finally be me and free! Onwards and Upwards! I am rising like a phoenix! #ShineOn
