A few days ago, my aunt Reena Banerjee, met with a horrible accident on Khairatabad Bridge. The accident caused her severe internal bleeding and brain damange. We still don't know how it happened. The police told us that there are no CCTV cameras on that bridge at all

I'm always surprised by how few people seem to use spaced repetition in practice. Is it: 1) People aren't actually interested in learning/memorizing that many things 2) It's not that valuable / other methods better 3) Apps are too clunky to use 4) Something else?

@ankitkr0 I skipped college. Of course, everyone's circumstances are different, and I as a teen had a very strong self-agency, but I strongly recommend that everyone who is still in school consider at least taking a gap year before moving onto college

@ankitkr0 Keep your expenses to the minimum, and try to explore as much as you can in that gap year. Exploration can take place through multiple mediums, books, learning through the internet, meeting new people, going to new places. They each having their own varying costs attached to them

Personally, I find that people who do not believe in you are the greatest source of motivation in life. Nothing drives me to work harder than meeting someone who easily develops a very blatantly negative bias against me. No motivational talk can compete with the ego that is hurt

I first enrolled into Harvard's @cs50 course back in 2014. I was in my gap year then, and wanted to give myself a computer science education. Over the years, I have enrolled and dropped out of the course many times. I have not finished the course even once

@amasad Was able to build and publish a Flutter app to the Play Store without even knowing Dart/Flutter. Also quickly building apps in Rust, Python and learning them through the projects I build. I come from a few years of JavaScript (frontend) background

My brother just bought 4000 Rs of items from @AJIOLife , the transaction was completed by the bank but the orders were not confirmed by the app, he didn't receive any SMS or email and it doesn't even show in his order book. Even the customer care seems unreachable

One lesson I have learnt is it's easier to do things in groups than doing them by yourself, especially when you have executive dysfunction. A group with vision, motivation and shared accountability + some mutually agreed upon structure is the best productivity hack in the world

One trait of mine that has helped me a lot in life : I am very good at mirroring people. I can observe patterns of their behaviour, personality, thought process, and very rapidly adopt them to myself. This helps me correct myself and learn stuff very quickly
