Really cool moment in the presser: Sean Bairstow said he heard a VCU fan sitting courtside telling him Saint Joe’s only had 2 fouls and to throw the pass deep into the backcourt. Bairstow said that the advice helped. I can confirm, I heard this interaction when it happened.

I honestly can’t believe it. After No. 6 seed Duquesne completed the 65-57 upset over No. 3 (and likely at-large NCAA Tournament team) Dayton, all four double-bye teams have lost. What a day at the Barclays Center. This is why we do this, so much fun to see.

I usually like to keep a level head in these situations but GW has had no chance with the way this game has been officiated. Bishop got manhandled heading to the rim and wasn't awarded the and-one. The refs have missed multiple out of bounds calls. Three GW players have 4 fouls.

If I am understanding the rule correctly, @GW_WBB should be FUMING. Per article b.2 it seems as if the automatic ejection only applies to those who ACTIVELY participate in the fight. That is very subjective, and the refs took that to mean anyone who entered the fray.

Great pickup for the Bonnies. Brown was usually very effective on both ends in limited minutes last season. Hope for nothing but the best and am excited to see him when he plays GW!

Noel Brown has committed to St. Bonaventure, per his IG. The 6-11 center spent three seasons at GW, averaging 3 points and 2 rebounds in 32 games last season. Brown will serve as a replacement for Amadasun and provide depth at the 5 behind Venning. Up to two years eligibility.
