Proud announcement time - I’ve written a book-“The Definitive Star Wars Legends Timeline”.
Compiled here, for the first time in print, is my life’s work - the complete timeline order of every single Star Wars story ever written between 1976 - 2014.
Wow! So the last 24 hours have been a lot! I was never expecting this little nerdy passion project of mine to blow up like it has!
So many people asking about Amazon/Kindle - it wasn’t on my radar before but I’ll definitely be looking into it!

As someone who generally detests Xmas films I was thoroughly won over by

An incredible performance by
@michaelsheen
and just a lovely, lovely movie
Over 1,000 separate stories, over 4,500 separate timeline entries, accompanied by over 1,500 footnotes - this is the most comprehensive, detailed, timeline of the Legends era ever written.
This book has been a 2 year labour of love as I have reread every book and comic (and so much more) of the Legends era to deliver the only timeline a Star Wars book nerd will ever need
@IanDunt
Tom Tugenhat seems to have integrity and comes across as sincere without being patronising or pandering. I actually think he’d do a good job of running the country, and I’m Labour! He doesn’t have a chance
@wearejames
@RealTimBooth
just got home after tonight’s Cardiff gig, and that was possibly the best gig I’ve ever been too (and I’ve been to a lot). Spine tingling, mesmerising, life affirming. Pure magic happening on stage in front of us
@roguesnradvisor
Well, the last 10 minutes have made it abundantly clear that Trumps not leaving peacefully, and he’s asking the white supremacists to back him up. There’s a civil war coming, and it’s in the name of a false figurehead
@swankmotron
I'm on your level, and it frustrates me when good friends who have been my SW buddy's for years can't see that, and have even questioned my opinion on Solo (before they've seen it) based on my reaction to TLJ!
Having just finished this book I feel confident in saying this is one of the most important books EVER written in canon. It hits so hard and you, yes YOU, should buy it immediately!
Thanks to
@ChrisKempshall
for writing it and to everyone involved in bringing it to life!
It's arrived! '
#StarWars
: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire' is out today in the UK!
I can't wait for you all to read it and hopefully enjoy it!
You can still order copies:
See the below quoted tweet for some extra info about what happens next!
Thanks to y’all showing so much love for this little passion project of mine, and the feedback that buying from Lulu isn’t always easy, you can known get a paperback or kindle edition on Amazon! The love for this has been incredible and I can’t express what it’s meant to me!
Star Wars Legends Megathread! Been considering this for a while, so over the coming weeks I’m going to be working my way through the Legends timeline and discussing some rarities and obscure entries that make up the Legends continuity that we all know and love

I love just round the corner (figuratively speaking) from that pub, and the “tourist tax” was definitely a thing before it was made illegal in the 90s 🤣
So as co-host of
@SWArchivesPod
part of my opening intro is that I own over 1000 books and comics, so I thought I’d share what that actually looks like
@ReeceShearsmith
Last nights episode was an incredible piece of work, a warm, tender look at the reality of family day to day life, with some outstanding performances. However, as it was also an episode of Inside No. 9, it was one of the most stressful 30min of TV I’ve ever watched as.......
@ReeceShearsmith
........as me and my wife waited anxiously, in dread and trepidation, for “the twist”, or some gruesome catastrophe to befall these characters that (to you and
@SP1nightonly
’s credit) we’d fallen in love with in such a short amount of time. Bravo, lads, bravo 👏👏👏
There’s also been some people (a VERY small minority to be fair) trying to frame this as some sort of anti-Disney project. As much as I love Legends, I love Canon too, hence my super detailed canon timeline on my Substack!
@ReeceShearsmith
One of my favourite things about this show is that it embodies everything I want from "entertainment". It amuses, confounds, provokes and disgusts. Sometimes all at once. Always brilliantly
@cavanscott
Love this take. I’ve been deep in the EU for so many years and the Legends rebranding was a god send. Now the Thrawn Trilogy has equal weight to The Adventures Of Teebo and Shiny As A Droid 🤣. The choice of words was perfect, and in no way did it minimise my love for those tales
Now that
#kenobi
has finished, have a fun fact. His final outfit isn’t just similar to what we see in recent Marvel comics, it actually originated as a sideshow statuette in 2013, as part of the Mythos line, as well as accompanying new fiction only ever published on their site
And so my once-in-a-lifetime trip has begun! Just boarded the coach in Carmarthen as I travel from sleepy Pembrokeshire in West Wales, to the actual

For some reason a lot of people have been visiting my website this week & looking at my book 'The History and Politics of Star Wars'. Turns out that the code ADC24 gives you a nice discount on it. In case there were any

history fans out there...
@GasbotW
More than that, there’s a separate TCW timeline for all the TCW-related Legends stories (more than you’d think). There’s no way the two timelines can fit, and George didn’t care enough either way so no reason to work ourselves up about making them 🤣
Yoda: Dark Rendezvous by
@SStewartWriter
is still a top 10 Star Wars novel for me, and easily the best of the Legends Clone Wars novels (yes, even better than Shatterpoint)
@scoutthetrooper
Seeing Yoda appear in TLJ. I was spoiler free, and my jaw dropped, I was leant forward in my seat like an 8 year old, and yes, there may have been tears. I’m 42!
Listen, we take the timeline seriously over at

Finally getting time to dive into this on my coach home from

‘Timelines’ is an incredible work of art, and I can’t even begin to imagine the complicated process involved in creating in (well, actually I can 🤣).
So with the incredible news that
@ComicsTitan
and
@penguinrandom
are publishing a collection of short stories from
@starwars
Insider magazine I’ve made some deductions....... 1/
@readstarwars
I love it. It saves me having to actual engage my brain and decide WHICH Star Wars to watch! I can just turn on the SW channel and chill to whatever’s showing
Listening to some Legends Lookback goodness while working out. Patreon content for The Living Force Podcast and well worth the support to one of the best SW podcasts out there!
@LivingForcePod
@rileyjsilverman
was telling the truth when she said this book was a ton of fun! Really took me back to Disneyland, and I could feel the sensation of walking around GE while reading. The various trinkets are super cool too. And yes, there’s an in-universe note from Vi!
@BroDameron_1
@JacobBoushh
@ChrisWerms
So, this apparent new edition of one of the most popular Star Wars reference books in years was released 4 MONTHS AGO, is now out of print, and yet none of us knew anything about it, and the publisher won’t even confirm which retailer stocked it…absolutely baffling 🤣
@JonMalin
No they were not!They were the absolute opposite of social justice!You know what real genuine social fascism is right?? It’s gas showers,branding,oppression,bigotry, dare you compare your stupid manchild comic book war to the worst acts of humanity ever

@sparkie237
The debates I've had between close friends who are as close to the franchise as I am have been really intense. I loved TLJ, understand the choices, and love how it has opened the door for even more storytelling diversity
@renfamous
I follow all this comicsgate thing purely through Twitter, and being British its like watching all my worse primary school “beefs” brought to life
