"In the Dance of Dragons, a Targaryen princess tried to steal her brother's throne. Thanks to her stupidity most of our dragons died, though one, thankfully, ate her before it did."
-Viserys III Targaryen, Conquest and Rebellion: Chapter 10
I’m so tired of this argument. They were claimed by Laenor, therefore trueborn. It does not matter their DNA because Laenor said “those are my sons”. It literally doesn’t matter.
asoiaf biggest continuity error isn't a starbucks coffee cup in a mediaeval setting but rather alicent selling her family to the enemy, like two weeks ago in universe she wasn't human shielding her oldest son against a dragon
summarising shit, no one liked that woman not even her family, so the only reason for this thing of pushing rhaenyra as this remembered and important queen is dogshit
i just think abt how aegon and rhaenys inheritance matters are very similar to each other. both were (or was tried to) skipped from the inheritance that belonged to them by law, all in favour of whoever the king wanted to put as his heir. viserys for rhaenys, rhaenyra for aegon.
WHY IS ALICENT LOOKING SO SAD AND CRISTON SO MAD he's like "take that back and apologize to my wife or I'll make you choke on your words and make your life and your children's life and their children's a living hell"
it ain't subtle. she has been like this since S1 but most people fail to recognise it. remember when she said she didn't want to marry and be imprisoned at a castle forced to give birth repeatedly, right in front of alicent who was forced to do just that? zero compassion.
rhaenyra's subtle selfishness & ego and has been so beautifully characterized. placing her sons & heirs above all, asking her own orphan step child to play surrogate, all in the place where said child lost her own mother. no remorse and a complete cognitive dissonance....PHEW
since some people seem to have found a term on tiktok and then decided to apply it to criston like when he's called incel, here's a thread made by me, a psychology student who knows way too much about freud, about WHY criston cole doesn't have a madonna-whore complex.
you could give rhaenicents the most incoherent and stupid ass scene that breaks all personality and development they'll be like "yasss they looked at each other!!! who cares if it doesn't make sense!!!"
that ship is undoubtedly the worst thing that has happened to his fandom
looking directly at a royal is seen as a form of disrespect, this is not new, because they are considered to be "less" than the person they're serving and therefore have no business looking at them. alicent's maids do the same with her. be fr.
@postnuclearjoan
i seriously tried to watch the series and read the book, but everything was so sexualized and had so much "she's not like all the other girls" vibes that I just couldn't do it
@wingedseph
i never thought I would see "whore" and "homophobic" together in a sentence that tries to chastise alicent for being a traditional woman while also being sexist and mysogynistic with your language but hey!!! that's just me I guess

@twtinginprison
@yerimnational
"media literacy is dead" and when confronted with media literacy you say "it doesn't matter" huh.... this is not a meme but a depiction of a woman getting raped.
at this point alicent should die alongside rhaenyra with both of em being eaten by sunfyre, and after this aegon should fake his death and flee to essos riding sunfyre and taking criston, larys and helaena with him
seems like she missed her history classes too because visenya would've been SO against her as queen or heir at all... visenya would've sentenced rhaenyra to death the second that first bastard baby was out
@wingedseph
then you're a hypocrite because she is the reason countless of girls get SA'd lmao you should be calling her an "unlikable bitch who silences SA victims" but here you are, calling yourself a fan
team black also exists because of mysogyny. viserys was not supposed to be king, inheritance laws dictated that rhaenys had to have the throne, yet they skipped her due to male preference. the fact that rhaenyra is a princess and next the supposed heir has its roots in mysogyny.

it's pretty fucking obvious what the meaning of the painting is about. colours, shapes, even the description of the painting. or what, do you need some subway surfers at the side to pay attention?
@josietaylr_
@sqmceds
he was very clear with her that he couldn't give her children☠️ also she literally says that she suspected him but had to prove it for herself after raping him. she really knew what she was doing
One of the biggest misconceptions in this fandom is that Laenor loved Jacaerys, Lucerys and Joffrey like his sons. He did not even see them as his sons, as seen here, and to be stuck at KL binded to Rhaenyra was torture to him.
problem here is that rhaenyra wasn't being betrayed and attacked by someone she trusted, aegon is. aegon is not shitting himself because he's being attacked by a dragon, he's shitting himself because the attack is deliberately done by his "loyal" brother
Aegon stans saying that Rhaenyra would’ve also wet herself like Aegon if she faced dragon directly well no lmao
“Rhaenyra Targaryen had time to raise her head toward the sky and shriek out one last curse upon her half-brother before Sunfyre’s jaws closed round her”
actually he seems to respect all women except rhaenyra for obvious reasons. he doesn't disrespect the prostitute or treats her as lesser than him or a sinner when he's searching aegon with aemond, and pretty much tells him that women deserve respect, not hatred.
@docno1r
when my mom made me watch this film she assured me the protagonist was in love with the little girl and I was like "nooo, he sees her like her daughter", wdym this was a pedo film😭😭
since this post is gaining so much traction and I know where this is heading, I'll remind y'all that the war was between aegon II and rhaenyra. alicent may be a protagonist in the show but the book is about targaryen house. I love her but she has no business being on the cover🙏🏻
or when she robbed a mom of her son just so she could marry her uncle. yes I get that laenor also wanted to get the f away from there, but to not tell his family that's he's actually okay and just let them grieve a very much alive man??? damn.

wrong! that's pretty much still a lump of cells in development that don't even resemble something human. you can't even know if it's going to survive by its own in the future, since the possibility of quality human life is not predictable
"you think that drunk teen rhaenyra raped criston, so surely you must think alicent is also abusing him"
uh... no?? just look at the differences in the story, the dynamic between them. you cannot compare him with rhaenyra to him with alicent
now with alicent. based on the leaks and things said or implied, he loves and desires alicent equally. even when she takes impulsive decisions and strays from the ideal, his opinion of her doesn't change. she doesn't always live to the womanly expectations and he still loves her.
does Fabien Frankel know the whole world hates his character on tv and can't wait for him to die? I truly hope it doesn't affect his mental health, but got damn I hate his face at this point 🤣 cannot wait for him to meet the winter wolves in whatever episode that'll be this
if you think alicent is a 100% lesbian, refuse that she could ever like men, and think that her having sex with criston diminishes her as a person or her experience as a woman or on her sexuality, you're dumb and biphobic
"b-but daemon only wanted to kill aemond, never traumatize a woman and take her children away from her, he ain't like that!" said man murdered rhea in cold blood, fucked rhaenyra the day of laena's funeral and married her while his daughters were still grieving. he IS like that.
