Just been appointed to 2 Cup finals for the
@CambsFA
. One as 4th official and one in the middle. Looking forward to them both. Appreciate the appointments to those involved with the decisions.
@Oldmantrying
@refsupportuk
Paul, you don’t know me pal, I’m a level 5 ref in Cambridgeshire. Don’t let them win mate, do your game, send in the cautions and dismissals and try forget about the crap dished out. Message me if you need a chat, happy to talk
All the reffing leads to this, Cyprus, 40 degree heat and 11 days of chilling and resting the legs before we go again with
@eatonsoconfc
vs
@StNeotsTownFC
on Tuesday 2nd July
Really enjoyed the cup final tonight as 4th official for the
@CambsLeague
, both benches were great to work with. Congratulations
@Melbourn_FC
on the win on penalties, commiserations
@FCBrampton
, well played both teams
@corbytownfc
a colleague of mine abandoned your U14s “friendly” at St Neots Town yesterday due to referee abuse by your coaches and parents. U14s football, you may not have been made aware but now you do, embarrassing really!!!
@refsupportuk
@refsupportuk
, another day and another coach of a child’s team getting a caution because they can’t handle an under 15s match without getting mouthy. It’s U15s mate, not a World Cup Final. Of course it was my fault they lost and nothing to do with them missing a penalty 😡
@jjenas8
Pathetic response. There are match officials up and down the country getting abused every week and you are not helping, personally think you have only posted your response to save your job
To all
@CambsLeague
clubs near or within 30 minute drive to St Neots, I am available to referee your pre season friendlies if you need a ref. Send me a message
Thanks to
@stivestownfcres
and
@GShelfordFC
reserves for a really good 3-3 draw this afternoon, great match to referee and in the sunshine too. Congratulations to both both
@GShelfordFC
1st team and reserves for winning their respective leagues.
@refsupportuk
As mistakes go, this is a big one, however Hornchurch haven’t won any of their last four matches, that’s what will cost them the title, not this mistake
So, as my cup final today was postponed, I was asked at short notice to fill in a Sunday league match. 6-5 score line, 3 yellows, 1 sin in. and 2 red cards, and it was fecking freezing. Got to love Sunday League football 😂
@MGwyddno
@grobbs66
@bennewmark
@refsupportuk
The referee was a 63 year old man who took on the match as a “favour” so that “children” can play football in a friendly. Maybe next week you will need to ref the match as you won’t get one, see how you get on
Last game of the season last night, 5 weeks rest, including a holiday, then we go again in July. Two seasons as a referee complete, loved every minute.
Last minute call up to cover
@GoddyTownEJAU16
Vs
@BuckdenJFC
U16s in the County Cup. From 5-0 at half time to finishing 5-4, game of two halves as they say. Well done to both teams
Grateful to
@HuntsFA
to find out that I've been nominated to be an assistant referee for FA Cup, FA Vase and FA Youth Cup fixtures. Hopefully get an FA cup match ⚽️⚽️
6th cup final of the season and had the absolute pleasure of being assistant to
@rich6590
who delivered a master class in patience in one particular incident. Not sure I would have been so calm. Proving why the vast majority of teams like him refereeing their matches.
Great competitive 2-2 draw today between
@UnofficialFenny
and
@SawstonRoversFC
, enjoyed that one. Good luck with the rest of your seasons, hopefully see you again at some point
@RefereeSouth
I reffed a team 3 weeks ago, one player in particular said I was a brilliant ref, they won 3-0. Reffed them again weekend just gone, they lost 2-0 and the same player said I was shit lol,
@refsupportuk
just to balance up the whole VEO argument. Gave a penalty a few weeks ago, manager who I know well said I was wrong and he’ll send me the footage. He sent it, along with an apology, I was right, it was a penalty all day long. VEO can be used for good too
Decent match in really windy conditions today. Well done to
@UnofficialFenny
and
@HistonFCRes
enjoy the rest of your seasons. Hopefully see you again in the new year
@Clastonjunior
Why don’t you own it? Yes there was contact, yes it should have been at least a caution, however you put the ref in the position to send you off, you were the one who verbally abused the ref,
@cufcacademy1
@SohamTownRanger
I had the pleasure of refereeing this young man a couple of weeks ago for Soham away to Cambridge City U13. Outstanding talent with so much potential. Good luck to him
Best pre season match or the summer so far,
@George_DragonFC
Vs
@AFCBARCABROM
, two very good footballing teams. Match was 3-3 when I had to abandon due to a bad injury. Wishing a speedy recovery to player involved.
@refsupportuk
I always tell the captains, it might be a friendly, however my cards are in my pocket, and depending how “friendly” the players are will depend if I use them or not. 9/10 the matches go with no issues
Refereed
@OverSports_FC
reserves Vs
@WestWrattingFC
reserves today. Great bunch of players and coaches. Accepted all decisions and very respectful. Well done to both teams and good luck with the rest of the season.
Really good competitive 0-0 between
@HistonFC
u15s and
@stivestownfc
U15s tonight. Good luck Histon with your cup final next week and enjoy your summers. See you again next season
After missing roughly 4 months of the season with a broken foot, I have the honour of being part of the referee teams for the U16s league cup final and the Vets County Cup final this week.
@HuntsFA
, thank you for the appointment.
@refsupportuk
@CambsFA
@CambsFAReferees
, refereed the Lower Junior Cup Final yesterday at Newmarket, got a message from a player after the match. Nice to feel appreciated, it’s not all negative out there. Congratulations to Athletico LP
@OxfordshireCC
Power happy council, using
@JeremyClarkson
to show how tough you are. See through the celebrity, see the good that the farm will do for your community and farming as a whole!!!
Good competitive match between
@George_DragonFC
vs
@CambsBlueFC
this morning in the
@CambsFA
cup, always nice to get compliments from both teams about my refereeing, much appreciated. Good luck in the next round Cambs Blues.
@HardwickFC
reserves vs
@GamlingayUnited
tonight in the rain, hail, thunder and lightning. It’s the middle of April and it was freezing. Well played both teams, very good competitive match, good luck with the rest of your seasons and cup finals.
@W96_res
Well done to Witchford for this, too many teams are quick onto twitter to moan about a ref, so nice to see a positive tweet, and well for to the ref too. Not had the pleasure of reffing Witchford, hopefully next season
Thanks
@Litlington_FC
and
@MottMacFC
for a bloody good game of football today. No cards needed, fair to say the way
@MottMacFC
play football that they should be higher in the league. Enjoy your summers gents
@refsupportuk
See if
@TheAdrianDurham
fancies reffing a match, not a friendly, a competitive match. Then he can give a balanced opinion after he has received abuse in the middle
@cambridgecityfc
your Under 15s EJA players and coaches are a credit to your club, however, the behaviour of some of their parents was shocking and embarrassing today. They forget they are watching an U15s match.
Did an U12s match yesterday, 5 players had socks ripped in their calves. Don’t tell me the big leagues don’t influence children’s matches. Their legs aren’t big enough for the socks lol. Be careful what you do, children are watching.
1. Last Saturday I sent someone off for a dangerous reckless tackle, even though he “won the ball”. Of course I was told that I ruined the match and I was a shit ref. Went home questioning if I had made the right decision. Then I watched the Romero tackle on Monday,
