Very important point. The asylum crisis is secondary to what has been happening with immigrants who come here on work permits and student visas, and who then bring their dependents. A case in point is 2023, which saw a huge influx of people from all of these. It can't continue.

You can’t compare modern and ancient genomes. Using tests developed on modern populations, a WHG will appear as “dark skinned” and if we perform the same tests on Neanderthals we get the same result. Neanderthals had been in Europe for 300k+ years so they certainly had light skin

Irish prisons only record nationality, not whether a person is foreign born. This report claims that the foreign prison population in 2023 was 15% when in 2022 it was 22% as per the IPS. Big drop. The report cited doesn't give full figures for Ireland, oddly enough.
