Stewart ignores that:
1. There was a whole ass Democratic primary election
2. Kamala Harris is the VP and the only Biden alternative that makes sense
3. A thunderdome convention would do anything but “unify” the party
I’m glad he had a chance to vent though

1. There was demand—a majority of Dems in polls said they would prefer another person!—but the president controls the party apparatus and so when an incumbent chooses to run again, no major politicians are going to risk their careers.
@SAMOYEDCORE
Him repeatedly saying that it was a land of togas is also hilarious because togas were the equivalent of more a cumbersome and annoying tuxedo for Romans. It’s like describing a high school as a land of linoleum and prom dresses lmao
@peightonrhannon
The existence of rain is not proof of the existence of a rainmaker. Rather rain’s existence means there is some actor OR process causing it. Some things occur as a result of natural laws w/o an actor causing them; we don’t know if that is true of the existence of the universe too

Honestly count yourself lucky you don’t know. But the joke here is that despite his “reporting” on American news from a fascist POV he is Malaysian and has never set foot in America.

Hey just wondering if it’s discourteous to share to 3.3 million people the account of someone with 300 followers who didn’t even make or tag you in a searchable way

My favorite is when the [speaks foreign langauge] completely covers and obscures the burned in actual translation that tells you what the dialogue was
@hemakhemak
I’m well aware of how it happened. The point is that arguments appealing to democratic (small d) principles because Biden “got the most votes” are not good arguments because there wasn’t an actual choice presented to voters because the incumbent, in his hubris, ran again
@Jarahhhh
300,000 plus Americans are going to be dead by the new year from coronavirus and you’re out IN PUBLIC eating when you KNOW you have the most distinctive and well-known symptom of covid

2. I count 15 primaries that were either cancelled or that look like the example I posted from NC. I think that counts as many. How many do you count?

If he did something wrong, why did they not even book him, and why did this cop get fired for her actions, you absolute clown
@slackerb1tch_
She goes on downthread to say that she hopes I die and attempts to dox me so honestly I’d rather she had stuck to the stupid micropenis stuff lol
@jonkrause
@drmistercody
This also works because a pothole, like the student debt crisis, gets worse with time as it is ignored and more people run into it
@prageru
Ah yes, that’s why countries with stronger unions and higher commitments to environmental protection have even worse infrastructure than America, like Germany, France, Switzerland, etc.

The reason they show the “race” is because it’s a demo of how good their relationship is in order to heighten the tragedy of Pa Kent’s death. They are having a kind, normal father-son moment where a kid jokingly “challenges” the dad to a faux race. Very normal, not goading!!
