I’m so excited to announce that I will be the new Meteorologist at KTBS in Shreveport, LA! I’ll be closer to severe weather and closer to home, and I can’t wait to work with the amazing team there. Thank you to everyone who has helped me get to this point. See you in June!
@KTBS
Second debut of the week! I’m so excited to announce that I will be freelancing in Harrisburg
@abc27News
! I had so much fun today and I can’t wait to continue to improve! Tune in again on Sunday night to see my forecast.
Four years ago, I visited Penn State for the first time for EMEX. It was my first time in front of a green screen and it was so exciting. Today, I got to give studio tours to prospective students as I approach graduation. It’s a very full circle moment for me. Time flies!
Here's a look at all of the tornado warnings today from Beryl for the Shreveport area as of
8:30 pm. Unofficial count is around 67.
Unfortunately, we know one person has died as a result of these storms and so many homes were damaged. What a historic day.
I got to do a live forecast at Independence Stadium today for the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl!! There was a lot of commotion during my forecasts, a B52 flyover and lots of fireworks. It’ll be a cold night for the game, but clear.

Today is my one year anniversary of working here at KTBS! It’s pretty fitting that we had storms today to “celebrate” this milestone. This year has been full of ups and downs and lots of learning. I’m surrounded by some of the best people and they’ve made working here SO fun.
This week marked six months at KTBS!It’s hard to believe how fast time is flying. I’m so happy to be working here with such a great team that encourages me and also has fun. I’ve learned so much, and I can’t wait to keep improving!
Weather World was the greatest experience! I learned so much and I got to work with the best people. Thank you to
@roblydick
@MarisaFerger
and the rest of the WW team for helping me become the meteorologist I am today!
ICYMI - tonight was
@carolinecastora
's final forecast with us! Caroline (from Dallas, TX) graduated on Saturday & will start off her career in broadcast meteorology next month at
@KTBS
in Shreveport, LA. Thank you, Caroline - make us proud! 💙🤍
@PSUEMS
@psumeteo
I spent my morning with
@NWSShreveport
watching the radome lift for KSHV. This was all for the pedestal replacement, and it was SO cool to witness it in person!!
The first of two big debuts this week! I’m so excited to begin forecasting on Weather World to continue improving and learning from
@roblydick
and
@MarisaFerger
!!
Today I got to do the 3-Minute Smile run live in our 4 pm newscast!! Koda got to run through the aisles of Walmart and grab as many toys as he could in three minutes with the help of me and Alex! We did some damage… spending over $2k on toys!
@KTBS
ICYMI - we were pleased to welcome
@carolinecastora
to the show last night! She's a 3rd-year
@psumeteo
student who hails from Plano, TX. You'll be seeing her on the show more in the coming weeks with
#Headlines
and as a host. Welcome, Caroline!
The smack talk is on! Penn State alum
@carolinecastora
is calling on the Mountaineers to get beat down in Happy Valley on Saturday. I'm really hoping she's wrong.
Plano/Dallas friends- today you need to be weather aware. SPC issued a moderate risk (4/5) for severe thunderstorms today. Primary concerns are large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes that are expected especially as you move east. Have a safe space prepared and stay alert.
Things are going to be hot and dry in the Ark-La-Tex for the next few days. High temperatures are expected to be at or near triple digits and rain chances will be low.
#lawx
It was certainly hot today, but we fell short of triple digits. This weekend should change that. Here is your grilling forecast and it's a hot one!
#lawx
This weeks episode is certainly an interesting one! Featuring a few fascinating Nature in the News stories and even the debut of our new members!
Host: Jimmy Wendolek
Co-Host: Caroline Castora
Forecaster: Dana Osgood
Feature: Stuart Dougherty
We peaked at 105° today here in Shreveport, but it felt hotter. Tomorrow, the "feels-like" temperature will be on the climb once again. Here's what to expect. Also, we are still under an Excessive Heat Warning so take precautions when outside for extended periods of time.
#lawx
On a bus back to State College from Harrisburg right now and all I can say is please stay off the roads! Little to no visibility and deteriorating road conditions and I’m not even in the worst part of the state right now.
@KevinAppleby_
It’s sad nowadays that every cut in results in someone having something to say. You are there to do a job and that's help keep the public safe. The last thing on our minds is if someone misses Judge Judy… Great move by you and Rob. Your viewers are lucky to have you.
Last time on
@PSUWeatherorNot
! I learned so much working on this show the past two semesters and I can't wait to continue applying all the skills I learned.
Will you need the umbrellas or the sunglasses over the next few days? Click this link: to see the latest forecast! Also, we say farewell to
@danaosgoodwx
and
@carolinecastora
, as their time with Weather or Not comes to an end.

@CNETCentreCo
Wow, what a day covering post-tropical storm Lee here in Bar Harbor. This was my first set of live shots out in the field, and it was a phenomenal experience! Hope everyone is staying safe out there!
We reached 100° today, and tomorrow looks like another hot day. Tomorrow, the heat index will be near 105° which will keep things feeling toasty.
@KTBS

We hosted a group of local elementary and middle school kids last week and our educators talked to them about what meteorologists do and how they predict the weather. Thanks to all of our educators for helping out and especially Carol for giving a great tour of our TV studios!
We got up 104° today, but it felt like over 110° for a good chunk of the afternoon. Here are some heat headlines to put the weather into perspective!
@KTBS

Sabine Parish, LA currently has a Severe Thunderstorm Warning, Excessive Heat Warning, Red Flag Warning, AND a Fire Warning right now. I knew weather in Louisiana gets crazy but that’s insane!
#lawx
Heading to this concert and I want to emphasize the importance of safety during storms. No concert or event is worth risking your life so stay indoors until given the all clear!
⚠️ LANA DEL REY FANS:
Due to severe weather & approaching lightning, we are asking for fans to please shelter in place. We will send another notice once the show is given the go ahead to resume.
Please check back for updates.
@tylerhugheswx
@penn_state
Get involved! I can’t stress that enough, especially in things not related to meteo. You’ll be grateful to have an escape from academics sometimes! Get help as soon as you need it, don’t wait til it’s too late. Keep up with your mental health too, college is stressful! Good luck!
We're under a Heat Advisory until 8 p.m. tonight. We'll get a little relief from the extreme heat overnight before another Heat Advisory will be issued for tomorrow from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday.
