I do weather. That is my expertise. I do not know how to solve this crime problem. I do try to keep people safe in severe weather and informed on the risks of flooding. Let’s face it. Flooding is one of our other big problems. I am in my lane.
8 days after Ida. Thankful to get power on 7th day. Coolest my house got inside was 82. Have lost 7 pounds. 14 bags of debris done. Had to work shorter & shorter times because of heat. Tarp on roof. Love for all suffering.

Wait. I was hit by a stolen car years ago. Had a vehicle stolen from my driveway a couple of years ago. Rolled down the window & told kids in stolen car on Orleans how to turn on the lights. I am from here. I have seen a lot. Don’t diss me.
Makeup by luxury Beauty Clinic. Nails done. Shoes ready. Headdress made by my daughter. Outfit change is next! See you tonight

I got a wig! What do you think? So tired of doing my hair. It goes crazy in this heat and humidity. Work prevents me from working in yard or swimming, because I have to maintain my hair. So trying to give myself more flexibility.

I have been on Twitter since July, 2009. It’s a wonderful way to communicate severe weather & to have a positive impact on people. I have truly made friends on this platform. I am worried about Twitter. Please do not let this platform fail.

Today is August 29th, the anniversary of Ida & Katrina. The landscape of our lives forever changed from Katrina. The wounds are still open from Ida. Today we are not looking at the eye of a hurricane, just a Summer Day. Take a deep breath.

With all these nuts out here, why would you read someone’s address on the air? Emergency said they can’t get to these people at this time. You know better than that.

Last year I ended up in ER because of heat. I wanted to finish garden. Had gone thru 6 bottles water. Threw up. Looked at my skin. Red & dry. Felt dizzy. Knew I was in trouble. Had to drive home. Shaking violently. Called 911. Heat sneaks up on you.

Like I said. This is not encouraging. Potential tropical cyclone 26 forecast to be a cat 2 hurricane making landfall Friday in North Central Gulf. Right now we are in the cone. Subject to change. Stay weather aware, and be prepared.

This was such a big deal to me. I grew up in New Orleans. Chased floats. Knew every parade route. The thought that I would have my own float never occurred to me. This Muses creation is a significant moment in my life. Thank you
@KreweOfMuses
I remember a float of Al Scramuzza of Seafood City. I thought how cool is that to have your own float. I never once thought I would have one. “Oracle of da Sky!” Thank you
