) plays Kathleen Kenny - Mareaid's mother - amongst other roles.
Originally from Ireland, Kathleen has moved her whole family to London's East End.

). Yitzhak is married to Rachel, and father to both Sammy and Moishe.
Jez also plays the head of the British Union of Fascists, who plan to march on Cable Street.

Sammy Scheinberg, played by Joshua Ginsberg, is a Jewish resident of Cable Street - and an ex-boxer just trying to scratch a living.

This mural on Cable Street commemorated the 50th anniversary of the Battle. (1/?)
In October 1936, Oswald Mosely's British Union of Fascists organised a march in London's East End. They were met by thousands of counter protestors in a defiant show of resistance. (2?)

You may have seen that he has a real Cable Street connection - with his great-grandfather taking part in the real 1936 Battle!
