1,026 of 1,059 schedule trains (97% of service) yesterday...while this is a huge win for the @cta , especially on a sunday, to achieve this the CTA had to cut 18% of the schedule. We are getting to ‘reliable’ levels, now let’s get back to useful levels!

the @cta Blue line turnaround trackage at UIC (aka ‘Morgan Middle’) is progressing nicely. placement of the running rails and third rail appears completed, with signaling infrastructure well underway. like many, i’m looking forward to the resumption of normal rail ops in Nov.

this is a really creative way to avoid single-tracking the red-line. kinda proud of whoever came up with this. the cta is AWFUL at single-tracking coordination, so while it's gonna be inconvenient for northbound riders, its actually much better for keeping trains spaced out.

CTA Yellow Line train crashed into a piece of railroad construction equipment near Howard Station. Multiple people injured. Several ambulances, fire trucks, & CTA crew members working to get everyone off the 2 train cars. Chicago Ave is blocked between Howard & Oakton.

Due to an unusual (and wonderful!) turnout, we have switched back to boarding the 100-year-old 4000-seried cars from the Pink/Orange side at Washington/Wabash. The 2400s will continue to make all stops.

it’s disappointing that even after numerous complaints about this design from cyclists and pedestrians that frequent this area, our @35th_Ward Alder @CDRosa didn’t push on CDOT to include PBL’s and safer walking conditions. Instead we get smashed yield to pedestrian signs.

one bus. the @cta is running one single bus each direction for this ‘shuttle’ service. we still have 3 more stops to make before western. you can’t reduce an entire 8 car (15 min headway) train on a saturday to one bus. @ctaaction :(
