i saw someone calling tags on ao3 trigger warnings and buddy. those are for filtering, for filing, for finding fics. ao3 is an archive & tags are part of that. sure u personally can treat at them as warnings for specific content but like, they are NOT trigger warnings, full stop.

imho, ao3 tags are used for archival purposes, to provide an accurate reflection of whats in the archived item without value judgement. tags are for lovers AND haters of pairings/kinks/tropes to help people find AND avoid topics.
