As an elected representative and political campaigner I now need to show an official imprint on my social media. Quite right as this is required on all printed material. Promoted by Hannan Sarwar on behalf of Ben Adams of Staffordshire Conservatives, Castle St, Stafford ST16 2ED
Delighted to be selected as
@Conservatives
candidate for Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Staffordshire and Stoke today. Strong competition from Sue Arnold and Mohammed Haroun. A big thank you to everyone that backed me today.
Labour Deputy Leader Tom Watson, who falsely branded dying Tory Leon Brittan "evil" to Parliamentary Select Committee, now opposes inquiry into Soviet spies' cash paid to MPs via
@GuidoFawkes
Terrific to see
@StaffsCadets
setting an example at
@Nat_Mem_Arb
Staffordshire today where there was a moving dedication ceremony for the UK Police Memorial which stands for all to visit in Staffordshire, and remember, in a beautiful setting by the river.
Delighted to be one of these
@Conservatives
Police & Crime Commissioners and that Staffordshire will benefit from additional officers. Additional Fire & Rescue oversight here means an even greater opportunity to help enhance our safety.
Nearly 9,000 new police officers.
Crime falling.
More Conservative Police and Crime Commissioners than ever before - backing the police to make our country safer.
The Conservative Party is taking its rightful place as the Party of Law and Order in Britain once again.
Thank you to everyone at
@StaffsPolice
and
@StaffsFire
for looking after us through another very difficult year and thank you for all the support given to
@HelenFisher62
and I before and since the election. Merry Christmas and safe and happy New Year to everyone in Staffordshire.
Massive campaign day part 3.
Home Secretary
@pritipatel
visited Kidsgrove this evening to back my plan to keep Staffordshire safe and hear about the progress local MP Jonathan Gullis is making in Stoke North, Kidsgrove & Talke. CCTV, millions for the town deal.
@SoTConservative
We are living in extraordinary times. Thank you to all those who have supported me in my campaign for Staffordshire PFCC this year. Let's all pull together and stay safe until May 2021.
BBC News - Coronavirus: English local elections postponed for a year
One of my favourite pictures of Helen, my friend and brilliant Deputy Commissioner. I was very lucky when
@HelenFisher62
postponed her travel plans to support me for three years. Our roads and county are safer thanks to her. Bon voyage Helen.
@StaffsPFCC
Learnt a lot during our visit to
@staffspolice
in Cannock today. Introduced to neighbourhood, response, resolution and prosecution hub teams by Sgt Mark Burslem before going walkabout with pcso Luke Peckett. Plenty going on in town and Luke appeared to know everyone! Great stuff.
Said thank you to the Staffordshire Commissioner Chief Executive Glynn Dixon as he retired today. 9 years working to keep Staffordshire safe and decades of public service meant colleagues from organisations across the region wishing him well. Top job Glynn. Thank you.
@staffspfcc
More police officers than ever nationally is big news. I shared what it means to people in Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent with Police & Fire minister
@CPhilpOfficial
this week. It means we can do even more to keep crime and anti-social behaviour low.
Staffordshire now Blue, from top to bottom. Incredible result by
@Conservatives
across the county and city. Next objective?......Get Xmas Done.
#GetXmasDone
Really significant change to how Staffordshire Police operate starts today. I am confident people will see a better quality and more responsive local service. Led by the Chief and based on input from the frontline the preparation has been excellent.
@StaffsPolice
@StaffsPFCC
A return to a local policing model for
@StaffsPolice
today. From 3 Response Hubs to 10 Local Policing bases led by 10 local policing Chief Inspectors. A focus on responding faster, investigating better and giving our staff the time and tools to do their job 😊
Good campaigning with
@JEGullis
and
@JoePorterUK
in Norton this afternoon. Stoke North is more than ready for a Conservative MP and in Jonathan they have a totally committed guy that is ready to do the job.
@SoTConservative
Commissioner Ben Adams spent some time on patrol with officers from Operation Bormus last night, a team dedicated to tackling vehicle crime in Staffordshire🚨
My last County Council today after 12 years. Quite emotional saying thank you to terrific staff and political friends from all parties. I have been able to help with the culture, economy and community fabric of Staffordshire thanks to the support of others.
@StaffordshireCC
These 332 more officers since 2019 are making a real difference in Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent. Helping to keep crime low, deal with increasing demand and provide visible reassurance. Key
@Conservatives
promise kept. p.s. Still recruiting.
John McDonnell will address the TUC today. I wonder at what point in his speech he will apologise to the trade unions for the Labour Party always leaving more people out of work at the end of their spells in power?
We're pleased to welcome 3️⃣5️⃣ new student officers, who took their attestation & were sworn in as police officers earlier this week.
They’ve joined our Degree Holder Entry Programme
@StaffsUni
- one of the new entry routes into policing.
We wish them well in their new career!🚔
Residents in Stowe ward, Lichfield were very willing to say what they thought yesterday. Vast majority backing
@Mike_Fabricant
and
@BorisJohnson
and urging us to get on with it.
One of the most inspiring visits I have made yet as commissioner. I met some girls who are really taking control of their own future and building confidence in others through the holidays. Right Stuff Boxing is a terrific example of what
@StaffsSpace
is all about.
@StaffsPFCC
Today our Commissioner
@benadams4staffs
called into a session at Right Stuff Boxing Club in
#Stafford
to get his first glimpse of
#Space2021
Fantastic to meet such passionate instructors & students🥊This is what Space is all about!🚀
Book your place!
Every time I visit the
@StaffsPolice
contact centre I am blown away by the professionalism and commitment of the staff and officers. Often taking calls from people who are in distress and desperate the contact centre offer reassurance while getting the right help to them fast.
It's
#InternationalControlRoomWeek
so
@benadams4staffs
paid a visit to
@StaffsPolice
contact team to see the important work they carry out.
The team are the heart and soul of Staffordshire Police and the first contact to people in distress.
Thank you for all that you do!👏
Terrific response to
@AaronBell4NUL
and
@Conservatives
in Newcastle under Lyme this morning. Most residents backing Aaron. Met a few still undecided and they had one thing in common...Corbyn is not for them.
Terrific introduction from Matt and John to the community work done by
@BurtonAlbionCT
. Education, health and neighbourhoods projects successfully delivered across East Staffordshire by this committed team.
Having campaigned across Staffordshire for 13 years and met thousands of residents I am not shocked that more voted
@Conservatives
. Staffordshire MPs, now all Conservative, from North to South are working their socks off to repay the trust shown in the last general election.
For 8 years
@StaffsFire
and
@WestMidsFire
have tasked and managed incidents efficiently at the shared control centre in Birmingham. Thanks to Kelly for introducing us to the tech and excellent team that keep us safe.
@StaffsPFCC
Rewarding to campaign in Hednesford with popular
@amandamilling
. Lots of interest in her hat as well as the positive
@Conservatives
messages. Can’t imagine why?!
Remarkable and emotional meeting with Chit Chat, an amazing group of moms who have personal experience of knife crime and gang related violence. Very struck by their desire to help others in the same situation. Thank you to
@jogideon
MP for Stoke Central for joining me.
Breezy morning in Biddulph with campaign dynamo
@JoePorterUK
delivering letters for long standing local county council stalwart Ian Lawson.
@StaffMoorTories
Support right across Newcastle this morning for
@Conservatives
@AaronBell4NUL
Lots of people voting Conservative for the first time and backing Aaron. Why? Because they want the EU referendum honoured and they back Boris and Aaron’s positive plans
Pleased to hear
@pritipatel
considering extending time for police to charge domestic abuse cases from six months to two years. Too often the window is missed due to complex cases or victims understandably needing time to decide to whether to report an abusive partner.
@StaffsPFCC
Superb visit to the neighbourhood, investigation and forensic teams at
@LichfieldPolice
today. Eye-opening on so many levels for
@HelenFisher62
and I. Most significant?..the open and honest conversations with professionals working hard to keep us safe.
It’s campaign time again so I promise you vistas from every corner of Staffordshire over the next couple of months. In the Stoke-on-Trent mountains today.
This week…so far. Briefings with Chief Constable, and Chief Fire Officer, visit impressive firearms team, catch ups with East Staffs, Stoke and Moorlands councils, local plan work on safer roads, ASB and better contact, SPACE activity and meet NHS mental health partners.
One of the bonuses of campaigning in Staffordshire is that I visit lots of lovely places. Important message for Tamworth constituents tonight about which party values our green belt and which don’t. Only one trusts local people.
@Conservatives
Really good conversations in Ravenscliffe and Kidsgrove today where the sun always shines and residents tell you what they think. Strong desire for change in the locals on May 3rd.
@wmconservatives
@SimonTagg
#torycanvass
Tremendous suppprt from across Stoke and Staffordshire today for superb Newcastle local
@Conservatives
candidate
@AaronBell4NUL
. Residents keen to engage, positive about Aaron and up for a general election.
Enjoyable morning in Meir Park. Stoke Conservatives have shown how good policies, efficient use of finances and passion for their City can put a place back on the map. These ambitious manifesto pledges should encourage even more residents to back them.
@SoTConservative
Pleased to hear that a new offence of Pet Theft is being introduced. The impact of having a pet stolen is very different from that of losing a possession so this is a welcome step. This came up a lot during the recent elections so delighted government is responding so quickly.
Robust and informative discussion with
@NFUStaffs
members in Lichfield with
@LichfieldNPT
commander Bev Rounds. Illegal encampments and fly tipping top concerns for our important rural and farming communities.
@NFUtweets
@StaffsPFCC
Good session in Endon in the glorious Staffordshire Moorlands this morning. Delivering some local info and ‘My Plan to keep Staffordshire safe’ with cllrs Linda Lea, James Abberley
@JoePorterUK
, stalwart James Watts and MP Karen Bradley.
Great start from our new Chief Constable. Strengthening local policing…music to the ears of Staffordshire businesses and residents.

: Staffordshire’s new Chief Constable has been setting out his vision for the future, just over a week into his role.
Chris Noble has outlined his commitment to local residents to increase police officer visibility.

We are off! Ground campaigns for Staffordshire Police, Fire & Crime Commissioner and local elections in Tamworth and Cannock are underway. I hope the sun shines all the way through to May.
Superb meeting with
@Catch22
. Working across the county and city to protect children at risk of exploitation and doing a fine job of it. Just one service commissioned by
@StaffsPFCC
that prevent crime, support victims and improve lives.
Some parliamentary candidates reach parts of their constituency others don’t reach. Blustery on top of the Staffordshire Moorlands today with Karen Bradley. Beautiful wild scenery in Alstonefield and positive
@Conservatives
support from residents.
Busy in Stafford this morning with MP
@theodoraclarke
and local councillors
@CarolynTrowbrid
and Anne Edgeller talking to residents about the floods and my plans to keep Stafford safe. A number of helpful, open conversations. Thanks to
@CllrHelenFisher
and Tim too.
#backben
Out with
@Conservatives
volunteers and the fantastic
@Victoria261272
in Kinver. Most residents, not all, but pretty close to it, were pleased to see us. Picked up some useful info on crime in this most southerly tip of the county.

Can’t believe it is over 12 years since residents in Fazeley elected me and started my career in politics. Feels like no time at all and I remember where the letterboxes are! Back to deliver letters for
@ChrisPincher
ahead of crucial general election.
@tcatory
@Conservatives
Really useful afternoon in Tamworth hearing about resident’s issues direct from hard working councillors. In Dosthill here with Thomas Jay, Jeremy Oates and a new friend who I am sure is known to everyone locally.
@JeremyOTamworth
Many couples who don’t wish to marry will now be able to have the rights enjoyed by married couples. They offer considerable protection when a partner dies so I am a big supporter of opposite sex civil partnerships. Yet more modern, liberal policy from
@Conservatives
@trussliz
Today we moved another step closer to opposite sex civil partnerships.
I have signed the statutory instruments following debate in the House of Commons.
If all goes to plan couples should be able to hold ceremonies from December 31st onwards.
#civilpartnerships
#Space2023
is now over!
Thousands of young people attended over 2,400 activities including DJ lessons, sports, crafts & nature sessions.
Even better news... This summer there has been a 75% reduction in youth anti-social behaviour compared to 2016!
See you next year! 🚀
Enjoyed yesterday afternoon campaigning with
@JEGullis
. Just about warmed up now. I met a lot of first time
@Conservatives
voters in Packmoor. Stoke North and Kidsgrove residents are backing Jonathan’s positive plan.
My deputy
@HelenFisher62
put in a night shift last week with the Central Motorway Police Group. She has been experiencing the different ways we police roads in Staffordshire. Pleased this is in the Chief’s plans and fully funded by the budget agreed yesterday.
@StaffsPFCC
Bang on meeting with staff and police officers at the Stoke YOS. Great to see continuing success to keep children out of the criminal justice system with sensible support and out of court options. Better futures and fewer victims as a result of this approach.
@StaffsPFCC
Enjoyed first campaign session of 2024 in Kidsgrove with Jonathan Gullis. If dry January means it doesn’t rain then long may it continue.
@SoTConservative
Fantastic day leafletting in Hixon and Weston with non-stop bundle of energy that is John Francis. Vote for John in Stafford Trent Valley for four more years of great local representation and so he can keep fighting for vulnerable children at the county council.
Goodness me. If the EU president was ill rather than drunk then I hope a doctor was there to attend to him. If drunk then I hope the EU now insists that he takes some time off so he can be helped before he further damages their reputation and our negotiations with them.
This is the President of the European Commission, drunk as a skunk at the NATO summit. If I turned up to work drunk I would expect to be sacked. Not a murmur about this in Brussels, so far as I can see.
Great town, great view and great
@wmconservatives
candidates like Gill Burnett working hard for Kidsgrove on the county council and determined to do the same with Kevin Johnson and Helena Maxfield on Newcastle borough council. Vote for them on Thursday.
@SimonTagg
#torycanvass
Politics is an easy life! Shakespearian weather in Birches Head. Big thank you to Stuart and Stoke Central MP Jo Gideon
@jogideon
for battling through it. We won’t have got my plan to keep Staffordshire safe to all 600k+ houses but not far off.
@SoTConservative
#VoteConservative
Tremendous show of affection and respect for Michael Greatorex today at St Editha’s, Tamworth. Clear that Michael was much loved by his family and friends. He was a fine borough and county councillor for Tamworth and we will all miss him. Rest in Peace Michael.
Good to get out and about with Simon Bell and Adrian Harding in Stone yesterday. Great to hear their plans including a pledge to deliver a youth club.
@stonebluevote
In Baddeley Green and Milton with
@daveevans188
and
@CandiChetwynd
listening to residents and reminding them that Stoke on Trent is on the up in no small part due to a tremendous
@SoTConservative
effort in the past four years. I always enjoy chatting to people in the city.
Good afternoon campaigning with
@conorwileman
the hard working
@Conservatives
county candidate for Burton Tower. If you thought Burton was flat you haven’t been to this side of the river!
@ConservativesWM
Some view from conference with
@PoliceChiefs
@AssocPCCs
. Learnt some valuable stuff about reducing domestic violence and helping young people avoid exploitation which I think will help to keep Staffordshire safe.
@StaffsPFCC
Productive afternoon in Chesterton with well known local politician and now county council candidate Ian Wilkes. This part of Newcastle is a strong contender for hilliest delivery route of the campaign!
