Nothing wrong with letting your children play sports. But there is definitely something wrong with letting them miss church attendance multiple weeks out of the year in order to play sports. Dad’s and moms, seek first the Kingdom of God. Don’t lead your children away from Jesus.

Some are upset that Jerusalem has been acknowledged as the capitol of Israel. Actually, Jerusalem will one day be the capitol of the entire world when Jesus returns the 2nd time and reigns for 1,000 years from there as King of kings (cf. Revelation 20:1f).

Heterosexual, monogamous marriage (1 man married to 1 woman) was God’s original standard for marriage (cf. Genesis 2:18-25). It is also the only form of marriage ever to be affirmed by Jesus Christ (cf. Matthew 19:1-6). It is still God’s exclusive standard for marriage today.

If it’s illegal to crush the egg of a bald eagle, it should be illegal to kill/abort an unborn baby. You can’t have it both ways. Eagles are no longer an endangered species. I’ve been to Alaska - too many eagles to count. Now babies are an endangered species. Abortion is murder.

Lots of ⁦ @bellevuememphis ⁩ members (1,300+) went out late this afternoon on door-to-door visits in the neighborhoods within 3 miles of our campus. Hundreds of visits made; dozens of salvations. We planted & watered, God gave the increase. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ!

Went to a penitentiary in Arkansas tonight. Preached twice to a total of 200+ inmates & 21 guys repented of their sins & believed in Jesus. The worship music led by the inmates was heavenly and celebrative. My heart is overflowing with praise to our great God!!

20 yrs ago today I preached at the SBC Pastors Conference for the 1st time. My dad had died the day before. These men, Adrian Rogers & Jerry Falwell, prayed for me before I went up to preach. They then sat on the front row & prayed for me during my sermon. I’ll never forget them.

Met Mr. Jack Taylor tonight at Costco. He served in the US Navy in WWII just like my dad did. He’ll be 95 yrs old in May. He was on a Carrier and survived a hit by a Japanese kamikaze. He loves the Lord too. I thank God for men like him. God give us more hero’s like this man.

My brother, Ed, went to be with Jesus yesterday. He had heart surgery but his heart wasn’t strong enough to continue. Ed was 2 yrs older than me. He was the smartest person I ever knew. His wife, Debbie, & his daughter, Kate, were with him at death. We loved him. He’ll be missed.

Ate breakfast at a restaurant in Germantown today with @donnadgaines & saw two guys with their Bibles open. I commented about how great it was to see two men in the Word. The younger guy told me the other man was discipling him. Folks, the LORD is moving everywhere! Hallelujah!

Put flowers on mom’s grave today. It’s still hard to see these two names chiseled in stone. Man, I miss my dad and mom. I cry every time I come to this grave. If your mother is still alive this Mother’s Day, go hug her neck and tell her you love her. I sure wish I could.

My grandparents made it through WWI & the Great Depression. My parents made it through the Great Depression & WWII. My mother made it through breast cancer, a still-born child & a stroke. The past 20 yrs, I’ve made it through Myasthenia Gravis. And how did we do it? JESUS!

Just used the 3-Circles app to share the Gospel with my waiter. He didn’t repent and believe in Christ, but he gave me his address and I’m going to mail some books and info to him. Pray that today the Lord will let you cross paths with people with whom you can share Jesus.
