"The main attraction (in many ways) of We Live in Time is the central relationship brought to life through a pair of great performances from Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh. Their chemistry is totally off the charts and they just make it all look it so easy, you just know the
This is frankly disgusting. Andrew Scott is there to support his multiple nominated film and THIS is what you ask? Then when he looks visibly uncomfortable the guy carried on. Truly horrid.
#BAFTAs
I hope more people watching WEST SIDE STORY now it's on Disney+ means more people become aware of how ridiculous it is that Mike Faist isn't the frontrunner for Best Supporting Actor this awards season.
#Oppenheimer
just further proves Christopher Nolan doesn't do things by halves. Cillian Murphy is sensational, as is the editing, score and cinematography. The Trinity Test sequence really is something to behold on an IMAX screen 🤯
PARASITE winning Best Picture was the moment of the
#Oscars
but Bong's speech for Best Director was the speech of the night, calling out Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino as inspirational figureheads of his career. Then he mentions drink again 😂
#VenomLetThereBeCarnage
is the most batshit insane film of the year and a marked improvement on the first film. It absolutely flies by and Woody Harrelson delivers as Cletus Kasady/Carnage, a villain I've been waiting see in live action for ages. STAY for the end credits!!
#GameOfThrones
seasons 1-6 were expertly crafted works of television, full of epic scheming and even more epic dialogue. Seasons 7-8 have been nothing but rushed, delivering some great spectacle sure but sacrificing the narrative majorly. Just don't fuck up the finale!!
#Barbie
is the cinematic party of the summer, Greta Gerwig creating something hilarious and inventive in its approach to telling such a poignant story. Margot Robbie IS Barbie but Ryan Gosling's Ken steals the show. Helen Mirren's narrator gets the line of the film though 👏
#MalcolmAndMarie
is a film I just couldn't take my eyes off, drawn in by the magnetic and powerful performances from Zendaya and John David Washington. They're both utterly brilliant and if either wins any award they best be thanking the other this awards season.
Seriously,
#TheBatman
is the real deal. Robert Pattinson will definitely silence a lot of doubters while Paul Dano is deeply unsettling as The Riddler. The relationship between the Bat and the Cat is just a small scintillating piece of an incredibly dark and violent mystery.
If Dune was the calmer younger brother,
#DunePartTwo
is the elder sibling intent on being the dominant force. A sequel that literally explodes onto the big screen, Denis Villeneuve delivering a sci-fi epic for the ages! It's just firing on all cylinders cinematically!
The original six Avengers vs Thanos is going to be a main part of
#AvengersEndgame
. We are gonna get Hulk vs Thanos Round 2 and I'm excited because they both look pissed off in these
@empiremagazine
covers. Need this film now.
#BlackWidow
is a film worthy for one of the most underrated heroes of the ever expanding MCU roster. Florence Pugh is about to be a megastar through the MCU. The action is big and it's just great to see an MCU film back in the cinema.
Had an absolute blast with
#GunpowderMilkshake
thanks to
@skytv
Delivered on the glorious violence I hoped for and make sure you try and check out the 35mm print at
@ThePCCLondon
if you can. It's wonderful!
#JokerMovie
is the real deal. An absolutely stunning character study led by a performance for the ages from Joaquin Phoenix. It's dark and deeply upsetting at times but I'll be damned if this isn't amongst my top films of the year.
#GodzillaXKong
carries on the trend of these films delivering absolutely insane monster fights amidst such an absurd narrative. It's a blockbuster that never takes itself seriously which is exactly the kind of fun I love! It's big, it's dumb and it is LOUD 🙌
#WishMovie
is another great Disney animation to add to an impressive roster. The combination of old and new animation styles make it such a visual feast with some catchy tunes to boot. This feels like a celebration of Disney and the fun little nods throughout will make you smile.
#InsideOut2
is yet another triumph for Pixar and further proof that adults will get as much out of their films as kids. It's funny, poignant and emotionally crushing when it wants to be, all while being a showcase for the inventiveness on show at the iconic animation studio. The
#TheVoyeurs
is insanely over-the-top but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a good time with its melodramatic approach to the erotic thriller genre. Sydney Sweeney and Justice Smith are pretty damn good here, making it incredibly watchable if insanely trashy at the same time.
#BorderlandsMovie
is not only one of the worst films of the year, it might just be the most annoying too! Full of tame action and performances that just scream here for the money. Feels like Eli Roth made this fifteen years ago and has only just released it because so many better
M. Night Shyamalan's
#KnockAtTheCabin
is a ticking time-bomb of a thriller. There's a limit to where the narrative can go but the cast really make it work, Dave Bautista continuing to prove himself such an enthralling screen presence.
#TheLastOfUs
is a fantastic start to TV in 2023, an adaptation that stays faithful to its source material while tweaking a few things. Fans of the game are in for a treat but those who haven't, get ready for one hell of an emotional ride. The pilot is just the tip of the iceberg.
#Furiosa
is a totally different beast to Fury Road and that's fine. We didn't just want the same film again. There's much more character work here and the action is still insanely good - George Miller you crazy man! It's definitely a little bloated and might take a while to get
Believe the hype!!
#AcrossTheSpiderVerse
is an outstanding sequel that expands upon what its predecessor introduced with proper emotional beats, brilliant writing and clever humour. The gorgeous blend of animation styles moves the narrative forward in such spectacular fashion.
To those calling
#ToyStory4
a bad film because you deem it an unnecessary sequel, we wouldn't have got THIS video of Keanu Reeves and Tony Hale so just keep quiet please.
Great to see the love for Top Gun: Maverick all over again but if you're looking for more end credits like this I don't think anything tops Con Air. That wink from Nic Cage right at the end. There must be something in the air!
SPENCER is a film drenched in melancholy from Pablo Larraín, beautifully shot and with a powerful lead performance from Kristen Stewart, captivating as the trapped soul trying her best not to break. It'll certainly divide audiences but I really liked it.
#LFF
#Maxxxine
sees Mia Goth capping off her star-making trilogy in quite spectacular fashion! Tying it in with the Night Hunter case works a treat for the narrative, Ti West closing his trilogy with a summer slasher that combines the nasty kills and great performances of the previous
#BadBoys
is an absolutely WILD ride!! It reflects on the franchise's greatest hits while Adil & Bilall still manage to deliver refreshing and energetic action sequences - with some brilliant surprises along the way. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are great together as always, and
#TopGunMaverick
is a shot of pure adrenalin to the brain; exhilarating flying sequences, tons of heart, fitting humour, sweaty topless sports and of course Tom Cruise running. It surpasses the original in my opinion with a final act that literally took my breath away.
#Wonka
is sure to be a massive hit this festive season with families around the world. Paul King has become a bit of a master in delivering bright and joyful adventures to the big screen. Timothée Chalamet is great and with a memorable supporting cast makes this so much fun!
"a superhero film that delivers plenty of spectacle but is at its best when delving into a character study, Matt Reeves proving he's a new major player in the world of blockbuster filmmaking."

#TheBatman
In cinemas March 4
#BabylonMovie
is a wild journey through the transition from silent films to talkies in Hollywood, chaotic in the debauchery it depicts with an electric performance from Margot Robbie and a star-making turn from Diego Calva. Damien Chazelle lets loose here and I loved it!
