Pending an open source release.. we are finishing testing v1.5 our image recompressor system built on Zerolith, Image Tender. It gives any web application running on linux the same image reprocessing capabilities of a CDN, and this can save you a buttload on bandwidth costs.

Here's how fast PHP is when you basically ignore all development trends today and write procedural with functions that output HTML like it was 2002. Framework booted, 65kb of various interface elements outputted, in 1.33ms. PHP is scorching fast with zero bloat added.

...or you could just send HTML over the protocol that was designed to send HTML in the first place ( it's literally in the name! ). Why do so many developers chose to overcomplicate things instead of picking a lower friction path?

Let me quickly port this small #ruby gem to the browser. It's only a 4Kb library, how bad could it be? It ends up as a 70Mb WASM package? Well, that's not too bad at all. I'm sure users won't mind.

HTMX just obsoleted a 600 lines of JS code structure that makes our editable tables work. That thing took a week to build at the dev shop. We feel stupid now. JS is becoming an endangered species at our dev shop very quickly. We need to donate a bundle to @htmx_org someday.

@htmx_org The worst part of 'modern experience' is knowing the page layout is going to be all over the place. So you sit there and wait a few seconds because you could click the wrong thing. 'everything is a remote procedure call' is objectively the worst way to do first page renders.
