In this thread, I will try to explain why the 'dream date' is actually a memory of Zack and how Aerith is trying to recreate that moment. I'm sorry if anyone cries because of this, but I'm not going to be lenient with the ships.

The connection between Tifa and Cloud in FF VII Rebirth:
The Gongaga chapter is one of the most important to me in the game, as it can explain many things about the original and dispel the false hope of seeing Aerith in the LS scene in part 3 .

After 27 years, I still wonder why people think that Tifa only loves the 'SOLDIER.' It was Cloud who told her he was determined to become a first-class SOLDIER. All Tifa does is make a promise with the hope that they will reunite someday.
The marketing related to FFVII by SE is on the same level as any Twitter troll. Instead of loving and respecting the Squaresoft game, you use the fans' love to generate toxicity and absurd ambiguities. Tell us the story and stop playing with us.
Summary of the similarities between the Crisis Core memories and what happens in Aerith's dream date. Surely you can find more that I may have missed.

How boring Clerith conversations are... they never get out of the monothematic discussion of Aerith being the 'canon rose' and the 'optional' kiss, which theoretically doesnโt affect them ๐๐ฎโ๐จ

En esta teorรญa busco intentar explicar los mundos del Rebirth a travรฉs de la escena del subconsciente de Cloud en el juego original, va a ser un hilo largo aviso.
When you realize that Cloud adopts Zack's personality due to his traumas, and that he especially brings it out with Aerith, your mind is going to explode ๐คฏ

No, that's not the same at all lol
I understand that being on a list doesn't feel great, but that list is meant to protect people, right?
The list I'm concerned about is not for protection; it's a monitoring list intended for harassment.
I encourage all the CAs who are crying here to read the complete theory available in my pinned tweet on my profile, cry some more, and then leave the Gold Saucer date and start applying Nojima's Jungian theory.๐๐

I have worked hard to recreate these scenes, now it's time for me to think about the next shelf in the display case. In the future, I'll do something dedicated to Cloud and Tifa, but I'll wait to see what they show us in the third part.
Why is it Zack's memory and not Aerith's? Four clues:
โถ๏ธ This date occurs within Zack's chapter.
โถ๏ธ In this date, there is a Stamp, the totem used by Zack.
โถ๏ธ Because there is a dissonance between Zack and Cloud, everything goes wrong.
2/18๐งต
Despite having an exclamation mark and being "dangerous," I still find CA in my posts. It seems that the list of harassers is more like a list of harassment victims ๐
One of the things I liked most about developing the theory was discovering Zack's memories in Rebirth, but especially the path of saving Biggs:
The signage seems to invite a connection between Modeo (near Icicle), Biggs (Avalanche) and Genesis (Apple).

Due to this, the white materia becomes unusable. However, in the Gi Cave, Aerith realizes what she needs to do to reactivate the white materia, thanks to Zack:

I will never understand the difficulty in grasping a plot about Cloud contracting Geostigma and distancing himself from his family out of fear of losing them. It's been stated in countless interviews and Ultimanias, yet still, you can't add two and two together.
While in Rebirth the photographer says it looks like a funeral, in Crisis Core he says he approves of Zack as a boyfriend, again, Cloud gets frustrated:

If there's something that has always bothered me, it's what Tifa has to endure from the other characters. Her traumas or emotional issues are never taken into consideration, she always has to be the anchor that keeps the group safe.
I think FFVII fandom as a society should start giving Cloud Strife more shit for abandoning Tifa and the kids they were raising in Advent Children instead of 1. constantly justifying it 2. enjoying it for shipping reasons. Itโs fucked up. He fucked up.
Psychopomp - Jung's theory.

There is only one, and it is Tifa Lockhart.

You have her on the list, and me too, but you haven't blocked us for being so-called "harassers," yet you come to our posts acting like a toxic crazy person. You're a group full of dysfunctional people ๐
Iโve realized that if you watch the dream date again, just before Zack appears in the church, he โfollows the yellow flowers,โ and now Cloud โfinds it easy to guess โour place.โโ
A WILD theory is that the one who fought at the end with Aerith was Cloud, but with Zackโs conscious.
Aerith knowing it.
First of all Cloudโs pose is Zackโs only there, and Zackโs synergy is only that one there.
Once she disappeared white whispers disappeared, Cloud starts +
The absolute nerve to peddle a block list when yโall are the ones constantly coming to our side to harass, spread hate & falsehoods on our threads & trash our appreciation posts w/ lies & mischaracterizations.
Hopefully this means weโll see less of yโall, but somehow I doubt it.
We find an erratic, childlike, sad, and hurried Aerith, while on the other hand, we see a disoriented and frustrated Cloud dealing with the dissonance he is experiencing. Now Iโm beginning to understand what Aerith has been trying to achieve during Rebirth.

There is a moment in the remake that suggests the Whispers are stealing a part of herself from Aerith, the part related to Zack. Here, we see how the scene with Aerith from Crisis Core appears:
11/18๐งต
โถ๏ธAnd the fourth clue, which makes everything make sense, is that we have already experienced this in the paths of saving Biggs and saving Cloud:

While in Rebirth it involves trying a candy, in Crisis Core it's about perfumes. This is closely related to Yogachara, again, Cloud gets frustrated:

I believe the change in Aerith's attitude that we see between the Remake and Rebirth is due to this, she is trying to regain the white materia by creating new memories.
13/18๐งต
Additionally, Cloud constantly finds that Aerith acts weird, something he doesn't understand. We see both the childlike Aerith that Zack knows and an Aerith pressured to complete a mission:

The similarity between the 'most precious materia' and the 'white materia' is remarkable, and Aerith knows that she can only recover that part of herself thanks to Zack.
16/18๐งต
Reading more about Jungian archetypes, I've realized that there is an archetype called the "Guardian of the Threshold": it is a figure encountered at significant points of transition in the hero's journey or in the process of personal development. It acts as an obstacle.
The ultimate goal of the date is to recover the white materia, something that is also mentioned in the Crisis Core date, where a child steals the 'most precious materia' from a man. We also see this child during Zack's chapters:
14/18๐งต
So, in conclusion, no, Aerith will not take on Tifa's role in part 3, the Weapons assign that mission to Tifa. And no, the larvae are not Aerith and Cloud, they are Sapphire and Ultimaโ๏ธ.
Lastly, Tifa is able to perceive Cloud's distortion during his crises, as seen in Gongaga and Aerith's death. The developers show Barret's reaction before Tifa's to highlight the difference, and the visual effects are consistent with those in Gongaga.
In this chapter, Cloud attacks Tifa due to Sephiroth's manipulation. Tifa then accesses Cloud's unconscious and memories, which are dominated by Sephiroth at that moment. This suggests that Cloud's crises stem from Sephiroth in the Lifestream and the conflicts occurring there.
If we look at the design of these weapons in the original, we see that Sapphire has blue tones and Ultima has purple tones, just like the weapons we see in Gongaga. This would suggest that the larvae are Sapphire and Ultima.
The ultimate purpose of this date is for Aerith to recover the part of herself that she lost in Remake. I believe that the part Aerith lost was Zack's Animus, and the conflict for Zack here is for her to regain it.
Both children have a similar role in Crisis Core and in the Remake, which is to help Cloud or Zack achieve a goal because they know the people of the slums.
15/18๐งต
As we can see, everything we observe in Gongaga is from Cloud's perspective, so it would be absurd to think we're seeing Tifa's memories. Additionally, these memories have not been altered yet and reflect what truly happened.
The child we see during Tifa's trial in the ToA is the same one who appears abruptly in Cloud's unconscious in the original. This child will help us with the memories we see in Gongaga, so it's easy to deduce that Tifa has retained that fragment of Cloud within her.
All the memories we see in Cloud's unconscious are related to his younger self and will be necessary to resolve the shadow archetype in the original, thereby recovering Cloud's True Self.

I'm going to try to explain a fragment of my theory through videos and Jung's theory, to explain the 3 paths that Zack experiences during the game.

On the other hand, Tifa lost her memory of these events when she fell from the bridge, so it was crucial for Cloud's True Self to be recovered in part 3 that Tifa sees them.
@motokomakima
I think they didn't include that scene to leave it unclear whether she's alive or not, confusing the audience, but in Part 3, we'll see Cloud laying Aerith to rest in the lake.
That is the real reason why Sephiroth guards this area at the beginning and why he will try to kill Tifa at that moment, as he sees her as a threat to Cloud regaining his true self.
At the end, I removed the MAKO because it was overloading the scene. I tried doing it with fiber optic cables, but it was a failure, so I discarded it and put the church vinyl on the back part, which reflects throughout the box.

But not only that, in the original, the Sapphire Weapon saves Tifa's life in the gas chamber, and the Ultima Weapon causes Tifa and Cloud to fall into the Lifestream.
@feaedhellen
Both girls had a difficult childhood and were loved in different sectors of Midgar. I don't understand why they try to belittle Tifa if they're so sure of their stupid ship ๐ฉ

I canโt imagine Barret going to the bathroom. Between breaking the seat when he sits and clogging up the city's sewer system... That's why he always wears sunglasses ๐ซข
To what extent does Aerith lose memories of Zack and how much of this did Tifa know from her conversations with her? I hope we get to see our Aerith explaining her concerns about Zack to Tifa in the third part. โค๏ธโ๐ฉน

And not only that, Tifa has the strongest connection with the Weapons, in Gongaga and in the original. In the original, the Weapons save her from the gas chamber in Junon and also cause her to fall into the Mako with Cloud in Mideel.
