I'm excited to announce the first in a series of GCSE revision guides is officially out! This thread on my GCSE Superpower Relations should show why it works in school but as a workbook, is even better for student revision at home!

I was inspired by
@AndrewSweet4
's recent wall display post and adapted it for a laminated 'writing mat' that students can reference on desks while doing extended writing. Full credit to Mr Sweet. Download the editable version (Publisher):

Is this useful to anyone? I met with my future Year 7 tutor group and did some activities for team building. This is my version of an icebreaker activity. Feel free to use and modify!

Revision lessons for Germany are better when inspired by

Well it's official. I've been appointed to my first Head of History role. 🍾🍻 It's been a long time coming, I was worried I'd retire before I'd got a chance 🤣🤣

I've refined my 'MAIN' causes for WW1. I've produced this so students research each country (carousal) and build up info on a collection sheet, mixing numeracy and literacy tasks. They then create a summary report. Link to the file:

Lovely piece in the BBC on my dad, who passed away recently. Incidently as a history teacher it was an honour that dad was the first black police officer in South Wales. Wonderful legacy.

I'm a convert! Thanks to

I like to use sources, for example on Peterloo, to have students not only to evaluate who was to blame, but to also assess how reliable sources of information are. This double-sided resource is what I use. Link:
