I implemented a beacon proxy for
@Kwenta_io
that has 20M+ in TVL
After countless hours of writing and editing you can now learn how to create a beacon proxy and why I chose the beacon pattern specifically
New blog post is up.
"The Beacon Proxy Pattern Explained"
In this article,
@andrewcmonte
walks you through
- the mental model behind this pattern
- when to use it
- (and when not to)
- how the
@OpenZeppelin
implementation works
- and how he secured over 20M TLV with it.
I just finished the
@AtriumAcademy
uniswap v4 hook incubator and there’s so much free alpha
In 8 weeks
@haardikkk
made v4 so simple I could cook v5
I’m usually bearish cohort esque things in crypto but would highly recommend
It's a wrap. The 2nd hookathon just finished up.
83 developers built 55 hooks 😲
After judging, top teams will be invited to present in a public demo day next week. RSVP in next post 👇
$25,000+ in prizes will be awarded. Special thanks to sponsors

I’m just an editor for the ZK articles but it’s still 🥲 to see people enjoying them
@Jeyffre
is the Michelin star chef cooking the food and I’m just the guy plating it and cleaning the edge of the dish before it goes out
It’s not the same but it’s still so rewarding to see
Those 3 latest zk articles (p vs np, arithmetic circuit, finite field) from
@RareSkills_io
have some of the best explanations that I have ever seen. Check out
I’m currently going through the 2nd cohort and I can’t recommend this incubator enough.
@AtriumAcademy
brings together so many great minds and ideas. Best part is
@Uniswap
is covering the tuition
if you’re cooking and need a referral lmk
v4 is coming soon 👀
And
@AtriumAcademy
just opened applications for the 3rd cohort of the Uniswap Hook Incubator
If you’re an experienced Solidity developer who wants to learn how to build with hooks, apply now ⤵️

yeah “bootcamp” has been so watered down it just makes rareskills sounds kiddie ngl
its closer to “engineering fellowship” but might not be able to pull that term off all the way yet
fwiw I call myself a fellow and I think others do too
will be cool if
@uniswap
v4 integrates some hooks into their front end
would allow simple but cool things like pressing a button to round up to the nearest usdc or eth for charity
or maybe uniswap will just start asking for tips
@0xjuaan
yall must’ve slept on
@ProgrammerSmart
I learned everything in the beginning from him and then made small projects on things I was interested in
@jofawole
that’s me👋 writing articles and smart contracts are very similar
Peer reviews are like audits. Articles have to be fully polished like contracts. If statements are like nuanced sentences that force you into certain interpretations
We always give so much credit to auditors who find large vulnerabilities
But we don’t give enough credit to the smart contract engineers that design complex systems without ever having vulnerabilities
The ultimate key to safe protocols isn’t education, good tooling/frameworks, or even lots of audits.
It’s based devs.
Uniswap V3 and Seaport are some of the most notoriously complex contracts with huge market and haven’t gotten exploited despite only having a couple audits.
One of the most high-impact things you can do as a Solidity developer or auditor is study how the most significant DeFi protocols work in detail.
“In detail” means you can point to a random storage variable and explain how and where it is used. You don't merely give a hand-wavy
If you're considering learning ZK, this write-up is a must-read!
Here’s a fun fact:
@Jeyffre
has taught 100+ elite devs every week since we kicked off the
@RareSkills_io
ZK bootcamp 62 weeks ago. Between all the 1-on-1 sessions, he’s easily spent 200+ hours on teaching the
@Jeyffre
I will say that although it was grueling, working with huff and yul really clarified a lot of solidity for me
I see solidity completely differently now
Honestly seems like a lot of people fud eth because they feel like they “missed out” and now eth is too mature
and so they ape into (insert amazing new blockchain that is still an idea) so they can be early
if anyone in your feed was seriously calling for the death of ETH
strongly suggest you write them off for the rest of the cycle
they’re going to get you financially and mentally broke
I just went to the genesis of
#EthDC
and it was the same size as an eth Denver side event
But in 5 years it will be the same size as eth Denver or bigger
Here’s why
@grahamfergs
raw milk is allegedly better for you because something about the pasteurization process heats the milk to the point it changes composition
and causes issues for some people, therefore they drink raw milk
also pasteurizing strips some nutrients iirc
@Jeyffre
made me review this so many times I can practically explain it to someone else now
What’s crazy is I vividly remember being so bearish of ZK one year ago
But now I realize it’s because I knew nothing
I’m sure this is just the tip of the iceberg but after reading this
P vs NP and its Application to Zero Knowledge Proofs
Every once in a while, we release a blog so alpha it can only be described as an information download.
One reviewer with no prior background:
"My head is exploding with knowledge!"
After spending over a month writing,
the more conversations I have with normies the more I realize people do just think crypto is ponzi tokens and pure value extraction
so bullish on
@base
and
@jessepollak
for breaking the narrative
The best thing about
@base
is that crypto can finally show that technological progress doesn't have to be connected to a value-extractive ponzi token. As it should be.
In the years to come, more will realize that the value of crypto is in networks rather than coins.
You guys are so sweet and have been incredible hosts. The Hacker House was filled with high quality conversations! More crypto to you!!

too many bds trying to extract value for short term gain and then they come off as disingenuous
the best bds build long-lasting relationships and that results in the best gains anyways
happy Friday, time for a valuable thread on personal relationships and networking.
We all know the name John D. Rockefeller, renowned for business success and shaping early economic narratives around the world. But how was he able to drive so much value?
It wasn't just his oil
ya i talk abt work a lot but hear me out
imo our case offers better models:
• how you build and earn as a team (alongside users)
• how you define a protocol's success (make, don't take)
• how you define stakeholders (expansively)
i'm proud of how we're pushing org logic
@uttam_singhk
@RareSkills_io
at first I also thought it was expensive but tbh I don’t even remember the money I spent anymore. I only remember all the great things I learned and the amazing connections I made
I’m confident you’ll quickly love it
