Yet what I found oddly worrisome was the proliferation of videos and pics posted by ordinary citizens on neighbourhood/community/local social media groups to publicly denounce whomever walking in the street. I was terrified by emerging practices of decentered micro-surveillance.

@rogermacginty I have "participation to international conferences" as one of the indicators for my tenure evaluation. But I cannot even imagine to send an abstract to one huge online conference. I am trying to somehow "use" the online modality to attend small targeted workshops.
