A middle aged man actively harassing his ex-wife and her new boyfriend and then not so subtly threatening violence against them is not the same as a teenager expressing her thoughts about feeling replaced without naming names or attacking anyone.

“Why should *we* pay you”? I’m guessing this random woman isn’t the one who will be paying the writers anyway. I don’t think she understands how jobs work, or anything for that matter.

Zoe was happy that Billie won Best Song at the Oscars so some Beyoncé fans got pissed cause their fave not winning has to mean it’s rigged. Then she talked about how the Will Smith slap wasn’t okay. More ppl got pissed so they started targeting her with old videos out of context.

As bad as the phrase is itself, what makes it worse is the context it seems to appear in. Any time a man acknowledges his privilege or calls out any form of sexism, some other man will say ‘nahi degi’ to him as if the only reason one can address societal issues is for sex.

With Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, we are back to the Bollywood of early 2000s! When I first saw the trailer, I had remarked that I got K3G vibes and the movie lived up. A 3 hour long feature, over the top production, a star studded lineup — THIS is quintessential Bollywood!

This tbf I’ve noticed throughout my life though because in Chandigarh, we always held the door and thanked people and literally one city over, people suddenly didn’t have these basic manners

I really hope she records Drops of Jupiter. I love her cover of that but since it was part of the Speak Now 2011 Tour, 🛴owns it. So I really hope she takes it back. Also her cover of Bette Davis Eyes!

Let’s not connect Taylor with violence. Don’t Blame Me by Taylor Swift is a masterpiece and it does not justify a man publicly assaulting another on live TV in front of the entire world. It is sad that Smith was not escorted out after that incident.

It's so clear to me that far too many people on PJO twitter have never read the books and are fans of the (truly awful) movies. This is why we see so many takes which exhibit absolutely no understanding of the story or the characters.

Multiple critics at the same publication can have different opinions though. While I personally don’t agree with it (in that I loved the album), this review (unlike many others) is well written and has focused on the music and not made personal attacks.

This is big for rom com culture because one BIG thing that had been missing in rom coms this past decade was the lack of repeat pairings. This is how rom coms should be approached (as opposed to sequels ugh). When a pairing works, you repeat them in a completely new story.
Just saw an article of mine cited on Wikipedia and I'm so glad to join the long list of people helping high schoolers get away with minimal research on their assignments
Overall, I see RARKPK as a return to the greatest era of Bollywood romance! This is Johar’s reminder that he is the king of blockbuster Bollywood romances. Can’t wait for more! RARKPK will stand the test of time and will one day reach the level of films like, K3G, KKHH, KANK etc.
An incredible piece of investigative journalism by The Charlatan reporters 👏Truly a testament to the importance of student run media at Canadian universities and colleges!

Omg yes. The P can totally be a Pulitzer or Peabody. Peabody winning EGOT winners include Mike Nichols and Rita Moreno. And if you count her special Tony, then also Barbara Streisand. And of course, soon enough, you!!!
I’ve noticed recently that so many people have such an appallingly blasé attitude towards non-consensually sexualized images. I would’ve thought it was a no-brainer that this is assault and harassment but people are “debating” this as if there’s more than one moral stance here.
When nonconsensual deepfakes of Taylor Swift went viral on here, the platform didn't step in — her fans and concerned viewers did. Via mass-reporting, people were able to get many of the deepfakes taken down. But most victims "don’t have millions of fans."
Attending

At this point, it’s worth questioning how a government which does not represent our constitutional values has any legitimacy. Democracy is not meant to be mob rule. Post-2014 India is more accurately an electoral autocracy. BJP & Hindutva will be India’s downfall.
This day will go down in history as one where the representative of the state of India argued that a man who threatened mass rape should have the implicit protection of the state, and the man who called him out should be imprisoned for it.

A secret in Alice Munro's house.
My stepfather sexually abused me when I was a child. My mother, Alice Munro, chose to stay with him, writes Andrea Robin Skinner.
I mean given the fact that people went to see Wolf of Wall Street and thought that Belfort was some kind of aspirational figure and not someone Scorsese was utterly disgusted by, shows that a lot of people don’t really understand his movies.
Can’t help but feel like the first KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON teaser where Ernest is reading the children’s book and asking “Can YOU spot the wolves in this picture?” is a Scorsese literacy test that many people cannot pass

It is honestly appalling that Laurier reached out to their staff and students before Waterloo did. The response from the university has been so slow and underwhelming that it’s actually terrifying.
The real scene stealer imo was America Ferrera — imo, the real star of the movie. I feel like not enough people are talking about her performance but Ferrera made this movie what it was! There absolutely needs to be a strong campaign for her to get a Best Support Actress nom.

Wouldn’t be the first since Richard Rodgers and Marvin Hamlisch are PEGOT winners where the P stands for Pulitzer but would be pretty cool nonetheless.

After the terrible response, it is hard to see this as anything but an exercise in damage control. I will instead be attending the community led rally organized by

It’s so funny to me that all these celebrities are unliking Johnny Depp’s ig post after the court documents were unsealed. Like, do they not realize that there are like 50 articles just listing out who liked that post. Unliking won’t change anything. 😂
