has died from metastatic breast cancer. Another child will grow up without her mother.
I am also VERY angry
Libby was not just a victim of metastatic disease, she was the victim of harassment by a small group of women in the MBC community

Dear Michelle,
Please stop using the term “beating cancer” it makes people with incurable cancer (like me) sound like we’ve not tried hard enough. Quit the battle language - the drugs fail patients & CRUK need to invest more £ into better patient led research
@METUPUKorg
#bccww
Great to talk innovation and collaboration with Mayor
@AndyBurnhamGM
in Manchester today. Collaboration is crucial to accelerate progress in beating cancer, and it’s a pleasure to see the great work going on in the North West where I grew up!
Just dropped something off with someone who knows me

It was my sons 16th Birthday yesterday so we had homemade pizza, a fire pit, online music quiz & a camp out in lockdown & he loved it. Daughter made his cake, chocolate brownies & cup cakes.
We had a great evening 💙🎂🥳
Hate that cancer keeps me awake at night worrying about the now & worrying about the future.
My husband & my children are fast asleep.
I wish I had normal worries.
I wish I didn’t have fucking

29 years Anniversary
We should have been back in Spain this weekend.
You never know what is around the corner...
#BusyLivingWithMets
Miss the days when I could run or feel like running - cancer is physically & socially isolating & it’s hard to accept you are not the same as people who’ve never had cancer
People really just don’t understand how much you feel like an outsider, even if u are
#BusyLivingWithMets
Had to share this again
Today I have been thinking of the bomb - it’s why I surround myself with other people who have a bomb. Only we understand our bombs.
I wish I had a normal life...
Fuck cancer
#secondarybreastcancer
#bccww
#bcsm
Sometimes I think about life before
#breastcancer
- today is one of those days - I sit & think what I would be doing, work, career, without constant worry, upset & how cancer has completely ruined many aspects of my life...
We need a cure.
#cockoffcancer
A gentle reminder - if you know someone who has completed cancer treatment (wks, months or yrs ago), continue to check in to find out how they are. Many think that everything will 'go back to normal' once treatment has ended. Love, support & a listening ear are still much needed.
2 births
one mastectomy, breast reconstruction, 4 rounds of chemo, # 73 x 3 weekly treatments, 3 x radiotherapy, numerous scans, appointments, investigations, neck resection surgery, sternotomy surgery & I keep coming back for more.
Thanks for keeping me alive

My sister has been taking me to my many appointments (I can’t drive with my brainmet) so yesterday we dropped off an afternoon tea that myself & daughter made.
Faron made scones & choc brownies & I made the banana cake. Prosecco, candle & chocolates in the bag - she loved it 🥰
My friend Sara died on the 1st December after being diagnosed shockingly only 4 days earlier with extensive metastatic breast cancer.
An intelligent, knowledgeable woman of knowing about

Having cancer especially having

you couldn’t have kept me away but not having a car it took me 2.5 hrs by bus & tram then went to wrong church & jogged down the road thinking “Helen you are laughing at me now”
Beautiful tributes ♥️☀️

@rowenanews
Do you remember when women who had a miscarriage or still birth we’re put on maternity units?
Do you think that’s cruel?
So is 🔔 in earshot of those with incurable cancer having to ENDURE listening to 🔔 that someone has put up who doesn’t attend any more! 🤷🏼♀️
@thismorning
Should we ban the bell-ringing ceremonies which celebrate the end of cancer treatment?
Jane Cubbin’s son was able to ring the bell and said it gave him great hope, but Jo Taylor, a cancer patient herself, thinks the bell is 'cruel and divisive'.

Not for the first time in my life, I must admit I'm disappointed with politicians.
A handful are making a lot of noise about the disruption to cancer services and other illnesses and a huge thanks to them, but it's not enough.
I don't understand why not. Very frustrating.
9 years ago today I was told “ you have secondary breast cancer”
Although it’s incurable, thanks to the drugs, the NHS, clinical trials & my amazing oncologist
