Here's what these threads completely miss - the quality of life you have. This is what $400k gets you in both locations. In Tokyo it gets you a small condo. In Houston, it gets you a 4 BR house with a pool

The other thing worth noting here is that most of Tokyo’s highways are 4 lanes. Houston’s highways are 28 lanes. Tokyo has less traffic. It’s almost like widening highways doesn’t reduce traffic.

@ImWatson91 Basically all spaces are "open" spaces that anyone can use. An easy example are men's bathrooms in bars - women would jump the line there for years with no issues. We created women only spaces for their safety and comfort.

The point is if you’re in an accident you want mass on your side - always. Given this accident was with a commercial vehicle a smaller car = death
