Really excited to share that we raised $5M in seed funding led by
@KindredVentures
and
@Initialized
to begin our mission of eliminating manual workflows and empowering businesses to scale using AI. Checkout the news on Fortune's Term Sheet:
Here's a thread of my favorite quotes from Jensen Huang's interview with Patrick Collison at Stripe sessions today. There was so much wisdom packed into 1 hour!
BTW fun fact: Jensen's first job was cleaning toilets.
🧵Nuggets of wisdom from Jensen Huang:
To celebrate MidJourney V5, in my latest podcast episode, I learned how to prompt like a pro from one of my favorite AI creators

The implications of this announcement are pretty profound, not just for startups considering building in this space 😬 but Google, Amazon and Apple too.
OpenAI has effectively just launched its Siri/Echo/Assistant competitor, except it's going to be way better than all of them
We’ve added initial support for ChatGPT plugins — a protocol for developers to build tools for ChatGPT, with safety as a core design principle. Deploying iteratively (starting with a small number of users & developers) to learn from contact with reality:
It’s amazing to see how
@ycombinator
under
@garrytan
is breathing so much life back into SF. ~ 500 YC startups come to SF every year. The majority will stay, many will employ dozens of people and some will go on to employ hundreds or thousands…
SF is so back! Roar!!!
Today we're excited to share what what we've been working on
@ParchaHQ
for the last 6 months:
1/ A new AI suite that automates manual compliance reviews during onboarding. Banks and fintechs can now approve more customers, ten times faster, with strong compliance using AI:
When
@ammaar
published a children's book in a weekend using AI, I had to know how he did it so I could make one for my kids. We caught up a few weeks ago and recorded a video of the step-by-step process using ChatGPT, MidJourney and
@pixelmator
.
Jensen has 60 direct reports. He believes that having less hierarchy creates more equal access to information. So no 1-1s:
“I give you feedback right there in front of everybody. Learning from other people’s mistakes is the best way to learn. Why learn from your own mistakes?"
Finally on Nvidia's culture:
“I think a lot of good things are made with operational excellence but you can’t make extraordinary things with just operational excellence. It takes loving care. You can’t put it in a number."
Jensen believes he has great work-life balance 😁:
“I work as much as I can."
"I sit through movies and I don’t remember them because I’m thinking about work.”
“I get my work done before I go to work.”
After 6 months of exploring AI, I’m excited to go back to founding a startup again with
@MiguelriosEN
! We’re building enterprise-grade AI agents to speed up manual workflows, starting in fintech Compliance and Ops. We’re hiring in SF and Puerto Rico! - DMs are open.
On the long game of developing CUDA:
“I like hard things because it takes a long time to do. If it takes a long time to do, it takes a really resilient person to do it.”
Our vision
@ParchaHQ
is for humans and AI agents to work together to scale a business. But for the sake of science, we had to find out what would happen if the AI Agents were left to their own devices....

of bringing AI agents into production. Check it out here:
Wow, I mean, if you had told me 3 years ago that:
FTX
Binance
BlockFi
Terra
Celsius Network
Voyager Digital
Three Arrows Capital
Gemini Trust
Hodlnaut
And hundreds of other companies were all run by frauds
I would have absolutely believed you
On adopting AI in your business:
“Your company is going to go out of business because another company is going to use AI. If the margins cost of intelligence is practically zero there are a lot of things you would do that you wouldn’t have done otherwise.”
How do AI chatbots actually work? Why do they hallucinate? And how did Bing develop a personality? I caught with up
@KevinAFischer
, the founder who wants to give AIs a soul, to find some answers.
Check out my interview with Kevin here:
Jensen's thoughts on building something the market doesn't yet see value in:
“I gut check against my core beliefs everyday.”
“You have to be willing to distill down to first principles. You have to reason about it.”
“Your First principles are easy to remember."
But Jensen's belief in CUDA made it happen:
“The board believed in CUDA because I deeply believed in it.”
“It was one of the most important innovations in modern computing”
“It probably took ten years to get [CUDA] going – it wasn’t that long.”
CUDA wasn't an overnight success, in fact quite the opposite:
“CUDA was an incredible disaster over night. It costs so much to go after that zero billion dollar market it crushed the one billion dollar market we enjoyed.”
We're hugely grateful to
@KindredVentures
and especially
@stevejang
for backing us on Day 0. Here's an interview we did with Steve about what we're up to
@ParchaHQ
and our vision for the future.
P.S. we're hiring:
AI’s killer use case is giving anyone with an idea the ability to build a product, launching it and grow their business with zero experience. This will create more economic value in our generation than any previous software or technology wave has before. Don’t believe me?
🧵…
Reflecting more our decision to ditch AI agents and the Apple Intelligence announcements on Monday, I’m even more convinced we made the right choice.
🧵 on why I think it’s time to move on from “AI agents”…
“If an AI agent carries out a workflow consisting of 10 tasks autonomously but has a 10% error rate per task, the compounded error rate over the whole workflow is 65%.”
There is a lot of nuance building production LLM systems
On how big Jensen things the AI market could become:
“The world has installed about $1T data centers. They use general computing which has run its course. The world will accelerate everything. That means replacing $1T of computing with accelerated computing with no growth.”
Last month I had the opportunity to chat with
@joshalbrecht
about the research his company
@genintelligent
is doing on AI Agents. We talked about AGI as human-like intelligence, memory in AI agents, and a world with universal unemployment and lots more.
Jensen things there will be 100X growth in compute demand:
“These tokens are going to create new products, new services, enhanced productivity, a hundred trillion dollars of value”
We're flattered that Parcha was mentioned in
@BainCapVC
's latest article on the State of Generative AI in Financial Services. We're building AI Agents that supercharge compliance and ops teams by automating manual workflows. Check out the article below:
@paulg
I almost fell into this trap too after Oxford. In fact, I declined an offer from a consulting firm because we got into YC. Luckily I had
@sharpshoot
@kul
@harjtaggar
@kirill
in the years above to show me there was a different path.
But Jensen believes there's huge opportunity for gowth in computing:
“We’re producing tokens, floating point numbers for the first time in history that has value. The world is going to produce an enormous amount of tokens.”
I've been a huge fan of
@coda_hq

@DKossnick
about their new AI features. This is a must-watch for PMs integrating AI into their product and founders who want to automate sales with AI.
This weekend I used

6/ With this announcement, OpenAI is moving from a developer platform to a consumer platform. We haven't seen a compelling consumer platform for many years, so I'm really excited for where this is going! Reminds me of Facebook Platform ~2007 🚀🚀🚀

As a founder, one of my most important jobs is hiring the right people. I’ve done hundreds of values interviews in previous roles and always felt like the conversation was a bit forced. At the same time when building a founding team values alignment is critical.

Here at Parcha, we’re all-in on AI as a technology that’s going to revolutionize the way we work. But have you ever wanted how we got here?
We wrote an in depth article on the history of AI and the technical advances that got us from neurons to chatbots:
Message I sent to the

team yesterday amid the OpenAI chaos:
Tl;dr: build with LLM redundancy in mind (we already do this) and focus on shipping to customers.

These are a few of my favorites 👇
Access to AI will become as important to humanity in the next few decades as access to the Internet was in the last few decades.
Efficient access to information fuels economic growth and AI will give you the most efficient access to all human knowledge.
And you don’t need 5G!
We’re looking for an experienced fintech + mobile PM for
@brexHQ
to help drive our mobile app strategy and roadmap this year. DM if you are interested or know someone that might be!
Come work on AI Agents with us at Parcha. As Karpathy said, the work being done on Agents in the wild (not in research labs) really is the cutting edge right now 🤓. Oh and we’re building for real customers, not just demos!
10/ Finally, we're focused on the problem we're solving, not the technology we're leveraging which is why we're launching a new website at , and you won't see "AI agents" mentioned anywhere.
love how this video by

really captures well some of the coolest features in live action. even so, there’s much more it can do. the road ahead will be fun.
