Only 6% of global intact forest is in Southeast Asia. Only 2.8% was in Indonesia, and 0.2% in Malaysia. So, even if all of these countries’ forests were wiped out by palm oil plantations, it would still make very little difference to this metric of global intact forest loss.

From each hectare of land, you can produce about 2.9 tonnes of palm oil. That’s around 4 times higher than alternatives such as sunflower or rapeseed oil (where you get about 0.7 tonnes/hectare); & 10 to 15 times higher than popular alternatives such as coconut or groundnut oil

This video was film on mining grounds! Not palm oil 🤦🏻‍♀️ The world devotes more than 300 million hectares for oilcrop production. Palm oil accounts for 6% of this land use, which is small when we consider that it produces 36% of the oil. It’s the most efficient oil crop.

Basically, land temps are averaging 1.8°C now, but with El Niño, we could see them hit 2.25°C. That's a huge 25% increase overnight from the initial. And in some places, it'll get even hotter. For us in Malaysia, this means way more heat, floods & other odd weather patterns.
