The intellectual demand placed on atheists is laughable. Meanwhile, the average religious is a bumbling idiot with no real reasons for believing except, “look at the trees, who wakes you up in the morning?” Maybe focus on the intellectual competency within your community.

Take as long as you need to come out of the closet. It can be lonely and frustrating but don’t rush anything. Religion has a stronger hold over most people than you might think and if you don’t feel entirely safe, you’re probably right.

@CodedFingers @ifeanyinw Women already act like women and they barely contribute to the current murder rate. Men act like men and are responsible for this murder rate. Common sense would suggest that men acting like women would reduce the murder rate not increase it. It’s a failed joke.

This isn't unpopular. Many religious people think like you and it is a defense mechanism. Rather than engage the idea that you could be wrong, you'd rather entirely dismiss the possible that people that "hate" your religion exist. It's very basic and this is 2023, do better.

Unpopular opinion: Most ppl don’t actually hate religion they just hate rules, authority, accountability, discipline & structure..& having to be a good person. They’d rather be a POS & not be judged for it. So they find things controversial, opposing or wrong about it & run w/it.
