@CaponeToneTony I think they succeed because that is what they focus on. They don’t go all elaborate with blown out budgets for features I really don’t think people care about. I love graphical masterpieces too, I never buy a game for that reason. Gameplay. Music. Story. Beloved Characters.

OK complaining about FF6. Gave up trying to find Shadow, looked it up. Yeah… there’s a “one-time moment” if you don’t do it: he dies. Can’t get him late game. I HATE when games do that. HATE IT. It’s dumb. I know some like, I don’t, replaying is too much for one character. 😡

Nearing the end of my amazing FF4 experience and loving so much about this game. Another unique one is FF4’s vehicles. Is there another one where you have access to 4 different vehicles at once plus 2 Chocobos? So fun and even had one island where I could line up 3 together.

I am not a Platinum Trophy Hunter, unless I REALLY loved a game, I have 2 total (both are Astro Bot games 😂). I would have got one on CyberPunk but I couldn’t. The best 3D platformer I’ve ever played. Mario 64 still most significant to me, but #1 GOAT = Astro Bot 11/10 🏆

I touched a lot of grass today and I always gotta represent the Zelda ♥️ I know the yard still looks like shite even after a mow, but I couldn’t be more excited! New grass is coming in and the crabgrass is dying. The fall my front yard will finally look the way I want. 🤞

Dammit Yang!!! FF4 hooked me so fast, I absolutely love the combat, I love Cecil as the protagonist and the characters. I loved seeing the Zu yesterday knowing they were in later games and found out this was their first appearance! Will definitely finish this one this weekend.

Can we talk about the Opera sequence? That kept me up beyond 2AM. So good! I read some didn’t love the Pixel Remaster swap to use voices. I have nothing to compare it to, but this pixel art for the orchestra (all ginger 🤣) is incredibly well done. *Slight spoiler in reply*

It’s official, while I enjoy the SteamDeck docked and it’s really fun to play on the big screen also… When it comes to comfort, the screen of the OLED, the buttery smooth controls, etc I’ve decided I like playing the SteamDeck substantially more in handheld mode.

So yesterday I spoke of unique gaming experiences I’ve had in Cyberpunk 2077. I’ve had another… interesting one. It’s the only game I’ve ever played where I had to have sex with a prostitute to fix a glitch. Yes, it’s real (see Reddit post attached). Yes, it worked for me.

Your kids surviving a bolt of lightning striking your home and burning it down comes with both a greater appreciation for family and a sadness that your kids will never experience a lightning/thunderstorm the same again. Ever. Breaks my heart to see them so scared everytime. 💔
