2003, OPC caught a thief, beat him up & brought him to the front of our house cos my dad was the estate chairman. Moved the thief to Ajah police station and the DPO was acting funny. My dad wasn’t surprised, he had picked up the robber’s police ID when it fell out of his pocket.

Funny thing is Lagos had something like this. There was a ferry by Tarzan that conveyed cars from VI to Ikoyi for 1k (This was before the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge was built). In 2016, the lagos state government shut them down.
