My grandfather (from my Mom’s side) passed away from old age in October 22, 2009. He wanted everyone at his funeral to wear Yankee jerseys. He also wanted to be buried in the pinstripes. We did just that. Then the Yankees win their 27th WS on November 4, 2009.
The Astros broadcast said “if we were playing at Yankee Stadium, that loud flyout to centerfield by Yordan would’ve been a home run”.
I can confirm that no it would not. 😂😂💀💀
@YankeeWRLD
Have you ever seen how poorly Giannis tried to hit off of a tee compared to how well Mike Trout/Mookie Betts/Aaron Judge can play basketball?
Let me kindly correct you…
The Yankees 1 game away from being eliminated to win the division. It’s actually 12 games away from being eliminated from postseason contention.

Random MLB fan: “overpaid! Hasn’t even thrown a pitch in MLB yet! He’s not that good!”
*Trevor Bauer trying to comeback to MLB after not pitching against MLB hitters for 2 years*
Same MLB fan: “SIGN HIM! HE’S A STUD! HE’S AN ACE!”
Now that the Yankees currently have the first place wild card, I say they shouldn’t be content with a first place wild card. They should now shift their focus on the division. They probably are aiming for the division now but I’m just saying keep your foot on the gas pedal.
Rest In Peace, Maggie. I’ll always remember all of the wonderful times we had. You were such a good, sweet, loyal, feisty, persistent, funny, tough, energetic little girl. You’re with Princess again. I’m going to miss you so much but I will see you again 1 day. I love you so much
It’s kinda like it was a championship for my grandfather tbh. 2009 season was very special to me.
Also my grandparents (Mom’s side) met at the old Yankee Stadium. It’s kinda like that if the Yankees never existed, my Mom wouldn’t exist, and then I might never have existed.

Ngl that was the first time I’ve ever heard Dave O’Brien not sound like he’s opening a disappointing present on Christmas when a Yankee hits a home run.
Idk if it’s because I don’t hear him a lot or if it’s because he’s getting more enthused due to Ben Rice being a “Masshole”.
