If I'm not mistaken, Hans Niemann has just scored the best performance of the year with 2946. A month ago, he had a 2555 perf at the World Junior. He also scored a perf at 2545 at Baku in May and 2542 at Dubai in June. As they now say, some may find these stats interesting.

If it's legit that's quite an improvement in 6 weeks, from losing players rated 200-400 playing moves like a6 Nc7+ Qxc7, to crushing 1300s with 90%+ accuracy! As pro-Niemanns taught me, in doubt assume the player is innocent and a victim of a conspiracy.
