Should be a big shout out to @LNER train crews last night, absolutely horrendous delays through no fault of their own, would have had to endure marathon shifts with irate customers. The last trains got into Newcastle at 0540 and Leeds 0455, that’s a very long day for those staff

Whoever’s fault this is, it ISN’T the drivers (or station staff & twitter staff, who bear brunt of anger) despite what the Daily Mail tells people. GTR management and DFT is where fingers should be pointed.

There’s a broken rail at Dronfield affecting southbound services, which are getting diverted via Barrow Hill. This may (emphasise May) affect the #FlyingScotsman which could also get diverted...and miss Sheffield. Will keep eye out #Steam
