Jacques, I beg your pardon, Alvin Roy was the first colligate strength and conditioning coach. He began at LSU in ‘58 and the NFL San Diego Chargers in ‘63.
The first college football strength coach ever was hired at Nebraska in the late 1960's. He was paid $4 a day. The Huskers, after losing big to Oklahoma the previous year, then beat the Sooners on the road 44-14.

Our Tigers did a great job in 2017 and our staff is looking forward to an even better 2018. Here’s a great stat from yesterday’s team meeting. We trained 107 players 2-3 times a week this inseason for a total of 4,488 individual workouts. We had 99.7% participation
