I studied here from 2000-2002. There were hijabi students there at that time, and I even recall one or two students in burqas. There was never a problem. And to all those talking about uniforms - MGM College never had uniforms and doesn't have even now.

Ambush PILs - where someone rushes to court to file a bad PIL, ensure it gets dismissed, so that no other petitioner can go to court after that - are very common. Courts have to take judicial notice of them and ensure doors are not closed for genuine petitioners.

Since voter ID is no longer proof.of citizenship, it logically follows that the this Government was elected by non-citizens. Hence, this Govt must step down. We must have fresh elections. Until then, the SC is great at legislating, and the economy anyway runs on autopilot.

Gentle reminder to all high profile PIL filers: High Courts still exist in this country. They are competent to hear challenges to constitutional validity of all laws, State and Central. There are bold judges who have time and patience. No need to run to the SC every time.
