can you claim the disadvantage of being a first-gen lawyer if you had no lawyers in the family but enough social/economic capital to put you in those circles and give you access anyway?
if you can, watch Rocky aur Rani with English subtitles. whoever has written them deserves an award. the subs for most of Ranveer's dialogues make the scene actually funnier.
hot take: it's easier to be fun/less toxic-y competitive/vibey when you're wealthy and privileged
(this is in no way a justification or apology for toxicity from interns from other places, including NLS)
interesting how there's barely any quizzing culture in most NLUs. possibly because quizzing is centred in a few big cities for the most part? but then gnlu quizzing circle is fairly active. who knows.

I hope you note that political satire is harmless and does not insult the legendary Ramnath Goenka, something that the Indian Express group probably recognises.

I'm assuming by feminine traits, he means sensitivity, empathy and the ability to understand/convey emotions, among other things. If that's true, then we need so many more feminine men.
my rapido driver just asked me the punishment for half-murder, the bail procedure and other things. when i asked him who is he asking it for, he said "myself" and gave me a scary fucking smile. not the way i had imagined, but this is it i guess. it was a pleasure knowing y'all.

love the outpouring of support in favour of our statements against the BCI press release. the hate is there, of course, but we stay strong. we can do this.

I feel I let people affect me too much and too easily. I tell myself "it's just people, they don't matter and shouldn't matter to you" but that's never the case. I keep remembering the conversations, the hurt, the way I let them affect me. I wish I knew better.
someone should write about the Indian oscar's team's obsession with movies that show "Indian culture" when sending official entries. it's as if the film's quality is secondary as long as it shows the Indian poor through a rosy lens.
you're fucked as a country when every day feels like the beginning of the end. today it's 140 MPs suspended, two days ago it was about Smriti Irani arguing against menstrual leaves, tomorrow it'll be worse. backward nation fr.
sat myself down for five hours and powered through all of the crpc course in one go. personal best. idc how the exam goes at this point. i just want to dissolve into my bed rn.

As it should be.
1. The only way to prepare for legal aptitude (other than PYPs) is coaching material, because CLAT and AILET are the only major exams which ask such questions.
2. Legal reasoning isn't taught in schools, forcing students to attend coaching or buy mocks.

got schooled by someone on queer terminology and my instant response was to apologise. thankfully the person had the patience (and kindness) to tell me how performative it sounds to apologise the moment someone gives a contrary opinion. we learn.
just saw someone tweet about wanting to get arrested by the police to get a cute mugshot... bestie have you ever been to an indian police station? 🤡 it's funny how the internet makes the wealthy live in a bubble
act of random kindness aboard dilli metro - random uncle saw me looking around for a seat (i had two large bags) and he silently gestured to me that he's getting off on the next station. i was able to quickly grab that seat. thanks, random uncle.
Bangalore dating tip: Try meeting earlier and commute together to your favourite spot during peak traffic hours. This way, you’ll get to spend much more time together and you’ll also find out if they have any anger issues.

journalism/mass comm people, i wish to start reading up on the subjects (considering a shift in my career trajectory). please drop your suggestions as to where I can start from :)) any recommendations would do!
i wish circles were still a thing on Twitter, i want to say so much about politics and queerness and other extremely personal things, but i don't have the clarity to pop out a blog post every time that happens.

3. Significantly better exams such as LSAT haven't had legal sections for decades, even though they are for graduate students (in the USA) and not high-school passouts like in India.
4. It's a National "Law" University. The students are supposed to learn about law there.

the fake degree issue about Modi isn't about where he graduated from, how much he scored there or how he was as a student.
it's about the fact that he lied. lying is bad.
there's a difference between judging people for drinking/smoking and criticising the culture that glamourises drinking/smoking. people need to do more of the latter and less of the former.
working in a non-law environment is so refreshing. sure, there's a lot of work to do, but without all the strict hierarchy and screaming. the people giving me work are much kinder and more patient.
Oh my God such big big words and questions but to humour you…here…”examine the position of the masses, their objective conditions of life, the different classes among them, the real nature of the liberty for which they are in fact striving…” happy???
my friends encourage me to sing with them. i wonder how they would feel if they knew how much this would have meant to a 10-years old yash whose family would laugh at him (if not worse) when he would try to sing at home. i am happy.
how does it feel like to "feel" pretty? to me it's never an internalised feeling - others tell you that you're pretty and it stays at that level. i am in awe of people who can feel pretty. seems like such an alien concept to me.

so i was leaving my room and i saw him lying down and looking at me silently. i walked up to him and start petting him. he rolls over and falls off the walkpath 😭😭😭 then he gets up and just states at me awkwardly 😭😭😭
