I can safely say I am on the youngest end of the #CFL media spectrum at 24 and if you think playing 3 downs or having different rules is even among the top 25 reasons the league is struggling with younger audiences, you have lost the plot.

I hate the way we discuss financial assistance from the government. $150 million looks like a big scary number, but it works out to roughly $4 per Canadian. The cultural and economic importance of the CFL to this country, whether you watch or not, is worth way more than $4.

I find declining CFL attendance as concerning as the next guy, but any conversation about it that doesn’t include the fact it’s a cross-sport problem is missing the point. It’s declining for all leagues & it’s never going back up to peak levels. You can’t be gate-driven anymore.

I understand that some fans and media are impatient, but there is no point to the #CFL making decisions about the season right now. Yes, it’s unlikely to start on time but it is still months away and contingency plans must be robust and fully formed when they roll out. No rush.
