Stewards get some grief but outside the Main Stand last night I was get drenched selling RAOTL. I was near the Faith room & a steward told me to stand in the doorway. It was an eyeopener in more ways than one. I managed to sell about 30 copies & I thank the steward & his team.

Easter 1964. Three games in four days. Good Friday Liverpool went to White Hart Lane & won. Easter Saturday it was a win at Leicester then on Easter Monday Spurs came to Anfield & Liverpool made it a maximum number of points. Three weeks later they were Champions of England.

I looked at the Main Stand from the Kop with about 3 or 4 minutes to go, great swathes of empty seats. The atmosphere was non existence apart from the singing about Rafa. We can't criticise other clubs when this happens at Anfield.

So we got beat. It had to happen some time. Arsenal are, like us, one of the best teams in the country. I don't blame anyone, we won as a team last Wednesday we lost as a team today. Next Saturday we start the next big run, simple as that.
