๐งก๐งตTo my fellow Domhnall Gleeson fans: I have finished the Domhnall Gleeson Character Calendar series. Because of the large number of characters, I made 3 collages for each month. Here are the collages. Feel free to download any of them if you want.

Oh yes, because Monkeypox, a virus related to Smallpox that has been known to be transmitted through contact with infected animals, lesions and scabs, and respiratory droplets and aerosols since 1970 has suddenly and magically turned into strictly an STD. /s
@danaparish
A family friend of ours had covid awhile ago, and since, he started getting aggressive. He used to be a really cool friend to my disabled Type 1 diabetic uncle and would drive him places sometimes because he's blind. Ever since he got covid, he would be really rude and make 1/
@danaparish
jerky statements around my uncle about having to pay for welfare because my uncle/people don't want to/won't work. The friend's behavior has gotten so concerning own cousin confronted him. My family and I think that after he had covid, he might have had a stroke or developed 2/
@danaparish
encephalitis, as both of those can cause emotional lability and behavioral changes. I really think covid could be at the fore front of the uptick in abnormal aggressive behaviors. 3/3

I never stopped masking. I don't care if people think I'm paranoid or crazy. I've had covid a couple of times and have
#LongCovid

#MPXV
. And the CDC pulled this when we're still having a ginormous # of cases.

My own opinion: Because America's Puritan and Evangelical legacy has made nudity and sexuality such taboos that many people don't want to talk about it, porn has become an outlet and "forbidden fruit" of sorts for people. And guess which part of the U.S. has the highest rates 1/

Yes. Though chickenpox is a herpesvirus and smallpox and monkeypox are orthopoxviruses. That's why smallpox vaccines (such as ACAM-2000 and Jynneos) and treatments (such as TPOXX) can work against MPX but the VZV (chickenpox) vaccine cannot.
@bendellwerry
I'm a Christian, and I never got the idea that the Duggar documentary was mocking Christianity or trying to make it look bad.
It is specifically attacking Bill Gothard and IBLP, who use legalistic, extra-biblical nonsense on top of an extremist, fundamentalist interpretation+

General wisdom for all young women:
You don't need a romantic/sexual partner to be happy and/or fulfilled
You don't need a child to be happy and/or fulfilled
Have whatever occupation you want as long as you're not a criminal
Be a good person
Dress however the hell you want

Whether you're quiet or loud, be your authentic self as long as you're not being a jerkhole
Spouses should submit to each other mutually with love and respect (regardless of their genders)

@piper4missouri
I didn't grow up fundie (I did grow up conservative evangelical though), and the fundie baby voice just gives me the creeps.
I keep thinking, what normal, well-adjusted adult man would find that voice attractive? Why do they sound like they're talking to a sleeping baby?
@brianvastag
Especially because post-viral illness and infections causing health problems and diseases years, even decades, later has literally always been a thing. It's just that because they allowed a mass infection to occur and it's now affecting the economy, they can't ignore it anymore.
@mhairiforrest
I stopped shopping there a couple Christmases ago because half of the stuff was broken and yet they were still selling it.
Finding out they are against reproductive rights and purchased stolen Middle Eastern artifacts from effing ISIS just sealed it.

I read an infuriating story about an 11 y.o. girl who was raped and couldn't get an abortion in time. She had to have an emergency hysterectomy after giving birth because of the damage. She'll never be able to have her own children when she's an adult if she wants to. +
@girlgeek_rva
Reading that segment of the Wisdom Booklets on the Recovering Grace website shortly after the 2015 molestation scandal was one of the biggest "What the f*ck?!" moments for me when learning about IBLP.
Nothing but disgusting.

1. I always preferred Barbies, stuffed animals, Legos, and miniature figures, including action figures, to baby dolls.
2. Playing with a baby doll and pretending to be its mother occasionally is completely different from going through pregnancy, childbirth, and 1-3 years of 24/7+
@godlywomanhood
For her occupation, I think a woman should do whatever she wants and sees fit for herself and or her family. Also, a woman can both bake bread and cookies and fill out timesheets. A woman can mentor young women and study organisms through a microscope.
@newvangelicals
Totally get it. I was a kid for most of Obama's 2 terms and I grew up listening to relatives accuse him of being a secret Muslim conspiring to destroy America, listening to Hannity sarcastically call Obama "the Anointed One" and imply that Democrats believed he was a second +
@punishedmother
As a Christian woman who wants to build a career, I have no problem with women who want a more traditional lifestyle. My problem is with the Tradwife/Tradfem movement's connection to fascism, religious dominionism, and the upholding and promotion of oppressive hierarchies.
@Muggle_e_Azam
@lolennui
Yeah, it's like how people act super-shocked when white people do mass killings and wonder what could have possibly made them do it.
But when black, Latino, or Middle-Eastern people do it, they aren't surprised, like they expect them to be violent criminals.

Exactly. I started having periods when I was in 5th grade. I remember having to get pads from the nurse's office because it would start while I was in school.
@ask_aubry
Considering that there is a video of Tate beating up women, I wouldn't call him a "nice guy." Just from what I've seen and heard, most of these Nice Guys TMs' "niceness" is a pretense. A mask. And when women don't give them what they want, that mask slips off quickly.
@Iconawrites

Then why do Amish, Quiverfull, fundamentalist Mormon, and fundamentalist Muslim groups have some of the highest rates of sexual violence despite the girls and women being some of the most "modestly" and "fully" dressed?
@JesseKellyDC
It must suck that men can no longer make decisions for women and that women no longer have to marry or become governesses or seamstresses to escape poverty or abuse. It must suck so horribly that women can make political decisions and own property rather than BE property. /s
To my fellow

January: Tim, Hux, or Capt. Henry
February: Stensland or Jack
March: Thomas McGregor

That's because lower education and income is linked to higher birth rates. That's why pregnancy and birth rates drop the higher a person's education and income level become. That's also why teens who have more comprehensive sex ed have lower teen pregnancy and STD rates.
Day 11 of
#31DaysofDomhnallGleeson
: Domhnall wearing something colorful.
I've had these pictures saved on my Domhnall Gleeson board on Pinterest. I'm still not sure from what play or other thing the picture on the upper right is supposed to be.
I had so much fun filling out and reading everyone's responses to 30 days of Adam Driver I made one inspired by it for Domhnall Gleeson. Have it it, kids!
@AlphaMasculini1
Sports are good for women. Female athletes have much healthier bodies than I do as a woman who only walks, waters plants, and dances for half an hour most days. And not every woman wants to be "mommy-ing." Some women are built for athletics. We are not all the same.
@Aglarondan
I see nothing wrong here. Is it because she has agency? Is it because they are holding predators accountable and taking accusations seriously? I don't see a problem with that.

I'm a woman who's afraid of pregnancy and childbirth and does not like babies. I also don't like controlling men. Living in a patriarchal society would be like living in a nightmare from which I cannot wake.
Day 12 of
#31DaysofDomhnallGleeson
: A time when Domhnall made you laugh
It's hard to pick just one, but this clip where the A Futile and Stupid Gesture cast is trying to spell his name gets me every time: "Don't yell at me!" "D-O-M-H-N-A-L-L! IT'S FUCKIN' EASY!" ๐คฃ+

The time I went to get a pap smear a month ago, they couldn't even do it because my vagina was too tight. And when I was waiting to be let go, I was almost tearing up because I kept thinking, "If I can't even handle a pap smear, how am I ever going to be able to have sex?" 1/

Why didn't those groups' girls' and women's full dresses protect them?
Just proof that the whole idea of "modesty" is bullshit.
@ellieokwilson
Exactly. Not to mention, it's not just famous women like Taylor who are affected by this, but other women and girls as well. A 14 y.o. girl recently took her own life after a group of boys created deepfake porn of her that went public. Nobody deserves to be degraded like that.

This. I remember when TERFs were accusing one of the women outlines on a Women's March logo of being that of a trans woman because they thought her nose was too big to be that of a woman.
These people do realize that not all women have small, dainty noses, right?
@joshlove45
Josh, people don't dislike you because you're a Christian. Mister Rogers was a devout Christian and he is one of the most loved popular figures in history. People dislike you because you push fundamentalist and dominionist rhetoric. Being unpopular isn't inherently a virtue.
Homemakers donโt have to worry if they didnโt get enough sleep or donโt feel good. They donโt have bosses/customers to please. They can take it easy if theyโre feeling unwell. Thereโs FAR less stress on women at home than in the workforce. This is how God intended for it to be.

Actually the U.S. divorce rate peaked at 41% in the late 70s and early 80s, but has never reached that number again since 1981. The divorce percentage now tends to stay within the 30s. Meaning that only roughly 3/10 married couples divorce.

Exactly, I mean look at Peter Ballard/Henry Creel before he was disfigured by the lightning in the Upside Down. He was hot, but he was still evil before he became Vecna.

Most people's "secret sins" don't involve molesting their siblings, using a person's picture on social media to find someone with whom to cheat on their spouse, and downloading and getting pleasure from the violation of children.
Some sins are worse than others.

Most women in the U.S. work, including mothers. And most of the things women spend money on are food, groceries, utilities, healthcare, gas, and other basic necessities.
So are you Bill Gothard's, the Duggars', and the Pearls' PR woman now?
You are in a patriarchal cult that has done, and continues to do, legitimate harm to everyone. Gothardism and the IFB movement are rotten trees that bear rotten fruit.

But who in their right mind would accuse a man being alone with his mother or a woman being alone with her father of impropriety? Who in their right mind would have that be the first thing that comes to mind? To me, it just seems like purity culture-induced gutter brain.
