🧵 My ma loved France. We called her the Queen of Versailles. She visited Paris loads and was a huge Edith Piaf fan. I took this picture in 2017 in “Amelie’s Cafe” between Le Pigalle and Montmartre. A few days after I took this picture mum got sick and never got better.

Brought some Irish bread back to London. The packaging says Soda Bread but they're wrong. It's Wheaten. People in the Republic have been incorrectly naming things Soda Bread for years. Why did Brian Friel never write a play about that?
