The road outside my house will be 20mph (reduced from 30mph) from 5th June. Some of my neighbours are complaining about it, even though sticking to 20 will add just a few seconds onto their journey.

I had to pass about 10 cyclists in a single line today. I waited until it was safe and used the opposite lane to do so. I was held up for less than a minute. I'll try and post the footage from my dash cam if I get time. It was pretty easy.

Interesting. I've just had an e-mail from a Traffic Officer saying they've noticed I'd submitted a lot of reports, and he re-assured me they will all be reviewed, and action taken if appropriate. He also encouraged me to keep sending them in!

My heart is broken. Just had to do the dash to the vets with my beautiful Sophie, and had to take the hardest of decisions. Fifteen years of miles and smiles. Rest easy my darling. I’ll be taking a short break from Twitter. She was so beautiful, I’ll miss her so much.

Driving back through the Lakes today, I encountered 57 cyclists (yes, I counted). I didn’t lose my shit once, waited until it was safe and overtook them in the other lane. It really is quite easy 👍

I live on the corner of a cul-de-sac and either side is a one vehicle wide traffic calming thing. Turned right today, and had priority but saw a chap cycling towards it so stopped and flashed him through. Got a thumbs up from the cyclist and a horn from the driver behind me.

8km doing errands. Two drivers jumped red lights, one driving on the wrong side of the road into oncoming traffic, nearly hitting someone, and one Range Rover driver almost pulled out on me because he had his mobile phone to his ear. He got a mouthful from me. But cyclists eh?

When I started my current job 12 years ago, the MD asked me if I had hands free in the car. I said yes. He then went on to say “if you prefer to concentrate on the road and I call, ignore it and call me back when it’s safe”. If only everyone had that sort of mindset eh?

The road outside my house is closed for a few weeks as Severn Trent are doing some work. It's like a temporary LTN and it's wonderful with no traffic noise while I'm working from home 😍 I might ask them to work slowly to prolong it.

Just browsing some of the tweets on “15 minute cities”. Oh my days, some people are as thick as mince aren’t they? I live 10 minutes from work (8 minutes actually as I cycle because it’s quicker) and have all the amenities I usually need within a 15 minute walk, and it’s great.

I've submitted a formal complaint to the BBC about their persistent use of the word "accident" in their travel bulletins on Radio 2. I doubt it will change their reporting, but I felt compelled to complain. I've now turned off Radio 2.
