It just raises the entry fee on being able to drive and therefore be able to properly get onto the employment scene. At 16 we can give our lives in the army.

@alanpoasting The lady who makes them has made a career out of making veils, particularly themed ones. She once did a price break-down showing how expensive the materials are and what small fee she added for labour. Wouldn't say tacky. She has many beautiful ones. You may prefer other ones.

@alanpoasting Mantillas aren't holy. They're a means to and end of interior and exterior mortification. Interior disposition in avoiding vanity is key. There is nothing wrong with spending money on beauty to glorify God. If a man could afford good clothes and went to mass in rags: no bueno.
